Ennis, Reinhart, Girgensons had a partial 3 on 2. Ennis dumped it in, and the Flyers were carrying the puck into our zone within 4 seconds, I counted.

We have not come within a mile of scoring this period, I don't care what the "Scoring chance" stat says.

Just not good.

Foligno either pots a beautiful bar-down shot or misses high. There are other places to score, man.

We can't complain about goaltending so far

The defensemen and Nilsson were pretty strong. I saw Girgensons flailing around twice in the d-zone with no idea who to cover. Our forwards are slow and playing  a bad system, or are slow and bad, or something in between. We haven't looked capable of scoring a goal in over 5 periods.

We need more speed and skill. We need Kane, Eichel, Nylander and something. The issue is I don't see that something in the system.

Yeah we do have Bailey, Baptiste, Pu, Asplund and the guys you mentioned. As long as we have Reinhart, O'Reilly, Foligno, and Gionta logging heavy minutes, the team will appear slow.

Well, 3/4 of those guys will continue to be logging heavy minutes. I don't think those 3 guys are a problem

 

Someone mentioned this conundrum earlier: Murray and Byslma do not seem to the same vision for this team
