Hoss Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 Where ya been since 1979 or so? They really haven't changed much over the years. Were you asleep from 96 to 2013? http://www.nhluniforms.com/Oilers/Oilers.html Quote
Huckleberry Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 I guess not. not really much else he could do with that shot ? Quote
3putt Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 Rebounds are killing us so is the speed of their wings. Quote
dudacek Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 Deja vu Kulikov stumble forced Franson to leave Lucic Quote
Huckleberry Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 Rebound Robin off, you can't really expect a goalie to do much else with those shots. Quote
Hoss Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 Lehner deserves some fault for both goals but Franson is brutal. Quote
Ottosmagic13 Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 lucic and Lehner with these rebounds Quote
Hoss Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 Deja vu Kulikov stumble forced Franson to leave Lucic Let Lehner worry about the shooter in that spot Quote
Brawndo Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 Franson and Kuli not a good pairing Quote
clintwestwood Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 Lehner left out to dry with no one covering the man on the back on either goal, and not sure how much rebound control you can have with your blocker and the bottom 4th of your pad. He has his moments that make me cringe but neither of these goals did that to me. Quote
Huckleberry Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 Lehner deserves some fault for both goals but Franson is brutal. Maybe our D is to slow to deal with the Oilers counter attack ? Quote
ubkev Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 The D got absolutely torched for 3 straight minutes to end the period. The forwards didn't help, not getting back fast enough. Quote

Kruppstahl Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 Kulikov on the brink of being shipped back to a public housing block in his native Don river basin if he continues to play like this. Quote
clintwestwood Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 Maybe our D is to slow to deal with the Oilers counter attack ? This. We are down our two easily fastest guys on the team, and there's no one playing defense on our team that can keep up with the Oilers forwards. While I was driving home from the first game Moulson said in his postgame that they're just as fast a team as Montreal and I audibly groaned. Quote
MODO Hockey Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 Lehner made some big saves, its hard to blame him for that 2nd goal, our D sucked Quote
3putt Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 No but it is obviously on film. Neither RNH and Draisaitl didn't even think about passing. The back check has to be better. Quote
K-9 Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 Franson and Kuli not a good pairing Well, that's two Franson pairs that aren't a good pairing. I'm noticing a pattern. I guess next it'll be Kulikov and Nelson. Quote
Ottosmagic13 Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 this, You can't blame these on rebound control. Even putting them back at the shooter would be better than putting them into the slot. He needs help from his D but he needs to help himself. This is going to be a long game if they score on every winger shot Quote
dudacek Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 Tough finish, but we were clearly the better team that period. Good zone time offensively and a better job clearing our zone than game one. Quote
