darksabre Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 (edited) After an underwhelming first game of the season the Sabres immediately hit the road for a matchup against the 2-0 Edmonton Oilers. The big storyline will be the loss of Evander Kane, driver of offense according to the fancy stats, to a trifecta of broken ribs. In his place will be Rochester American Nick Baptiste who had a goal in the Friday's game before getting the call to the big show. Folks, watch this game in HD if you can. We've got an all time jersey matchup on our hands. Edited October 16, 2016 by d4rksabre Quote
darksabre Posted October 16, 2016 Author Report Posted October 16, 2016 Dude, you tagged me! :w00t: You didn't respond! I thought you were down for the count! It's okay, we can be merged. I think you and I working together is a good sign  Quote
Randall Flagg Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 Moulson with 2g 1AGod I hope we score three goals. Quote
JJFIVEOH Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 Okposo making his Sabres debut, possibly Kulikov as well. Quote
Eleven Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 I just have this feeling that this game is going to make me angry. Quote

pastajoe Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 Moulson with 2g 1A Kind of early to predict season totals. Quote
Brawndo Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 Looking forward to having Okposo-ROR-Reinhart as a line tonight. No AM skates for either team. So the remaining line combos won't be known until pregame warmups Quote
darksabre Posted October 16, 2016 Author Report Posted October 16, 2016 McDavid is freaking amazing. It really is mind blowing how good he is. Does our defense have ANY hope of containing him? Quote
nucci Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 I just have this feeling that this game is going to make me angry. A Buffalo sporting event? Unpossible Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 It really is mind blowing how good he is. Does our defense have ANY hope of containing him? Not unless we've hired Gregg Williams to run things. Quote

bunomatic Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 I think the oil have scored 13 goals in 2 games so there's that. Our defence has me breaking out in hives so there's that too. This one could get fugly. Quote
BetterDays06 Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 Really excited to see Okposo, We have so much forward talent, hopefully it can show tonight. Quote
darksabre Posted October 16, 2016 Author Report Posted October 16, 2016 Player to watch out for: Lucic. Quote
Jsixspd Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 (edited) It really is mind blowing how good he is. Does our defense have ANY hope of containing him? That lumbering imbecile Gorges vs McDavid? LOL!!! About his only chance is to take bad penalties to slow up McDavid and hope the Sabres can kill them. Gorges ought to just remake himself into a goon, because as a legitimate "D" he doesn't cut the mustard. Edited October 16, 2016 by Jsixspd Quote
Chris in Syracuse Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 (edited) Moulson with 2g 1A I hope he regains his old form. Edited October 16, 2016 by Chris in Syracuse Quote
3putt Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 This will not be pretty. The Oilers are playing well beyond McDavid. The only hope is a total meltdown by Talbot. Quote

dudacek Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 Last year's games in Edmonton and Vancouver were two of the worst Sabre performances all season. Quote
SwampD Posted October 16, 2016 Report Posted October 16, 2016 When McDavid makes his patented move, I just want to see someone sweep out his right leg. Maybe even Lehner can do it. He'all either shred his groin or be scared enough to not make that move again. Either way, I don't see him getting the shot off. Quote
