Nothing happened in Fear the entire year and it dragged on. Nothing really happened last night, but it still had my attention because you can see actual direction in the show. Quote
drnkirishone Posted October 8, 2019 Report Posted October 8, 2019 So I went and saw Joker. I am not sure how to describe it. It was a great movie, but I felt unclean having seen it. I think that is what they wanted so kudos I will say that just because it is from DC and features a comic book villain, it is not a comic book movie. Best I can come up with to describe the tone is it was like a good Stephen king movie Quote

drnkirishone Posted October 8, 2019 Report Posted October 8, 2019 Any movie can be boring if you don't buy in. Granted it is not hard to get me to buy in on the flop. Quote

TrueBlueGED Posted October 8, 2019 Report Posted October 8, 2019 (edited) I recently watched Endgame a second time, and still thought it was pretty bad. But for anyone who has seen the original Transformers animated movie, this is freaking fantastic: Edited October 8, 2019 by TrueBlueGED 1 Quote
WildCard Posted October 8, 2019 Report Posted October 8, 2019 Endgame is/was an awful movie Still not as bad as the abomination that was The Hobbit(s) Quote

I get the feeling that the people describing it in that way are the ones who have to insert a political theme into everything. Joker was a very well put together film and one hell of a mind F. Quote
darksabre Posted October 25, 2019 Report Posted October 25, 2019 Someone is remastering Titus and uploading it to YouTube Quote
Zamboni Posted October 26, 2019 Report Posted October 26, 2019 Watched the first season of Castle Rock ... hard to follow at times. But pretty good Quote
ubkev Posted October 31, 2019 Report Posted October 31, 2019 The Crow has probably the best 90's movie soundtrack. It's definitely my favorite, anyway. 1 Quote

I'll go a couple years earlier and stick with the Singles soundtrack. I've never seen the movie, but I've heard most of that stuff over and over. 1 Quote
Stoner Posted October 31, 2019 Report Posted October 31, 2019 I think I'll watch Rosemary's Baby tonight. It's on some freebee movie network I get. Never saw it. I've heard it's good. It's from 1968, which was also a very scary year. One Depends or two? You know I buy them by the gross. Quote
ubkev Posted November 1, 2019 Report Posted November 1, 2019 With Halloween being behind us now it's time for the Hallmark Christmas movies to begin. I promise to review them all. I'll take a break on Thanksgiving to watch Dutch. Quote
SwampD Posted November 7, 2019 Report Posted November 7, 2019 Season 2 of Jack Ryan is a shell of its former self. Cant do it. It even looks bad. Quote

nfreeman Posted November 14, 2019 Report Posted November 14, 2019 My wife and I binged season 2 of "Jack Ryan." I thought it was OK, but not great, and about as good as season 1. About a B. We are currently binging "Succession" and are most of the way through season 1. It's good, but not as good as the hype IMHO. B-plus. Quote

They tried to do too much with Season 2 and unless that somehow plays into Season 3 it was pointless. Also, it was really nothing more than an action series... Id rather see more of the analyst side. I don't want to elaborate too much so as to not ruin things for people. Quote

The first few episodes of season two had me laughing harder than I've laughed at anything in quite some time even though it just keeps getting darker. Quote
jsb Posted November 14, 2019 Report Posted November 14, 2019 Wife wanted to see Downton Abbey the movie, if you really liked the tv series, see it, if not.... don't bother. Started watching the Watchmen on HBO, this has a real chance of getting an A to A+. Also just watched Deadwood the movie. This could have been better if it came out right after the show ended, having said that I'd give it a B-. I'd explain why I didn't give it a higher score but then I'd give away too much. Quote

I loved the show -- it's in my top 3 all-time shows (with "Mad Men" and "The Sopranos"). The movie wasn't great but I still enjoyed it -- it was just nice to see everyone again. 1 Quote
