Sabel79 Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 No update on ROR yet. This was the post Eichel lines from practice yesterday 52 Hudson Fasching - 90 Ryan O'Reilly - 23 Sam Reinhart 63 Tyler Ennis - 22 Johan Larsson - 82 Marcus Foligno 9 Evander Kane - 27 Derek Grant - 12 Brian Gionta 44 Nicolas Deslauriers - 28 Zemgus Girgensons - 26 Matt Moulson Not to further the definite turn for the Ryan Miller this board has taken, but please don't do this to us, DDB. ROR or no, the lack of Eichel means Samson needs to be in the middle. IMHO. Quote
WildCard Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 Thank God Okposo is here. We have terrible wingers without him Quote
LGR4GM Posted October 13, 2016 Author Report Posted October 13, 2016 These were the lines yesterday according to Sabres. I don't understand why you would make Fasching play on his off wing when you have so many LW all over the damn place. If Reinhart won't shift center than I say this is the lineup: Ennis - ROR - Fasching Foligno - Larsson - Reinhart Kane - Grant - Gionta Des - Girgensons - Moulson Quote

LGR4GM Posted October 13, 2016 Author Report Posted October 13, 2016 The morning skate is beginning so lines should be known shortly. Quote
LGR4GM Posted October 13, 2016 Author Report Posted October 13, 2016 (edited) Jourdon LaBarber@JourdonLaBarber #Sabres PP units: #1 Reinhart, O'Reilly, Moulson, Risto, Ennis #2 Kane, Gionta, Grant, McCabe, Franson Edited October 13, 2016 by LGR4GM Quote
CallawaySabres Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 ROR is skating this morning Really hope they are not pushing him to get back in tonight. This team cannot afford any more setbacks with the top 3 Quote
WildCard Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 Good god that 2nd pp unit is just miserable Really hope they are not pushing him to get back in tonight. This team cannot afford any more setbacks with the top 3Knowing him I'd wager he's the one clamoring to come back Quote

nfreeman Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 Grant on the PP, eh? I guess Matt Ellis was unavailable. Quote

K-9 Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 Derek Grant. Remember that name folks. He simply won't be denied. Quote
WildCard Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 I like those lines much more Derek Grant. Remember that name folks. He simply won't be denied.Granted Quote

LGR4GM Posted October 13, 2016 Author Report Posted October 13, 2016 Buffalo Sabres @BuffaloSabres 31s31 seconds ago Ryan O'Reilly is on the ice, skating with Kane & Reinhart. Quote

To me, those lines say: - DDB thinks Gionta has lost a step - Larsson has earned a shot at a bigger offensive role - Fasching has earned a shot at a reasonable amount of ice time - Kane looks potent - Moulson has earned his way out of the basement (but not yet to the penthouse). Game on. Quote
LGR4GM Posted October 13, 2016 Author Report Posted October 13, 2016 another FYI, the entire team showed up 40minutes early for the morning skate... this team is going to be special. Quote
Derrico Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 Grant on the PP, eh? I guess Matt Ellis was unavailable. He was great in training camp and preseason. I know it's a big jump to actual games but Matt Ellis he is not. Quote
CallawaySabres Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 another FYI, the entire team showed up 40minutes early for the morning skate... this team is going to be special. Best thing I have read in the last 24 hours Quote

Derrico Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 I thought ROR's back was too bad to take faceoffs? Maybe Reinhart gets some time centering the line? Quote
LGR4GM Posted October 13, 2016 Author Report Posted October 13, 2016 I thought ROR's back was too bad to take faceoffs? Maybe Reinhart gets some time centering the line? He might take the FO's tonight but no center ice time Quote
freester Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 I guess Larsson has moved ahead of Girgensons at the Center position on the depth chart. Not a huge surprise Quote
