pi2000 Posted February 4, 2017 Report Posted February 4, 2017 @Real_ESPNLeBrun: All goalies must switch to new pants today. Any violation results in a 2-game suspension, $25k fine to team, $1k fine to equipment manager Quote

I like getting the Whale back, but not if it costs us the Islanders. I'm thinking more along "temporary" lines. It would be a great way to pull southern New England into the Islanders fan base. (Also, it wouldn't hurt if they held training camp there afterward.) Quote
bunomatic Posted February 5, 2017 Report Posted February 5, 2017 Zadorov with a great hit today. I do miss that part of his game. Wouldn't go back on that trade though. No way no how. Quote

Nice clean open ice hit, then he turtles when Trouba grabs him and starts throwing punches. How the hell does he end up with 2 for charging and 5 for fighting? He was barely moving when he delivered the hit and he never threw a punch or dropped the gloves. Quote

Yeah bad call there by the officials. He layed that dude out though. Quote
Weave Posted February 5, 2017 Report Posted February 5, 2017 (edited) Did anyone else catch the McQuaid/Martin fight in the Boston-Toronto game? Looked like McQuaid ended it by breaking Martin's jaw. Beast of a right hook. Edit- I guess Martin stayed in the game. Damn, that was a helluva shot though. Edited February 5, 2017 by We've Quote

WildCard Posted February 5, 2017 Report Posted February 5, 2017 Friedman indicated he wouldn't be shocked if Sakic stepped down, either entirely or in a lesser role, at the end of this season because he simply jusy may not want to do it anymore Quote

Brawndo Posted February 5, 2017 Report Posted February 5, 2017 Pick him up, waive D-Lo? Don't quote me on this, but I believe the Sabres have first dibs on him and can place him in Rochester if they desire. But I'm for anything that results in the waiving of D-Lo BREAKING: #stlblues announce that Fabbri is out for the season with ACL injury. Quote
WildCard Posted February 5, 2017 Report Posted February 5, 2017 Well Shattenkirk is definitely moving now Quote
Rasmus_ Posted February 5, 2017 Report Posted February 5, 2017 Love to see The Whale again. It would be a sad day if the league lost the Islander franchise. I've been to Nassau several times, I thought it was such a better experience than Barclay Center. That building is a dump for a hockey game. Quote

If the NYI moved to Hartford would they change their name to the Connecticut Mainlanders? What would the logo look like? Better yet, what would the mascot look like? Quote
MattPie Posted February 6, 2017 Report Posted February 6, 2017 If the NYI moved to Hartford would they change their name to the Connecticut Mainlanders? What would the logo look like? Better yet, what would the mascot look like? They could go with the much-maligned Islanders Fisherman and call it a Whaler. Quote
