MattPie
"I'm still brittle." Connor McClavicle I feel bad about this: Connor McPeanut. Because he's brittle. I dissagree, their forward ranks are just better set up than ours, they have a 3rd and 4th line that can score to. Matthews, nylander and marner pushed guys like komarov, bozak to the 3rd line where they belong. If only we had a high-draft pick Center behind ROR and Eichel that could anchor a third line. WildCard
The Avs have a goal differential of -110. The 2014-2015 Sabres goal differential was -113, and we were trying to suck.

WildCard
If you read the statement from the NHL, it's a power move. They're pissed the IOC and NHLPA won't budge

Sabel79
Good. Anything that makes the IOC a dime should be ended immediately anyway. This will likely be resolved between the players and owners during the next lockout. Which will be ongoing during the Beijing Olympics. Edit: never mind, February happens before June. Brawndo
The IOC, NHL, IHFF and the NHLPA should comprise and have the games played in North America under the direction of the IOC. Maximize Television Ratings in the markets where hockey dominates and make sure they go to China in 2022.

WildCard
Ovechkin's 'official' statement : "Watch me" Chris Johnston Verified account @reporterchris I'm told the NHL has directed teams not to discuss possibility of individual OLY participation with their players. League will rule later.

Harrington with a great point: since it's in a country where hockey isn't big, nobody in America is going to pay attention to the Olympics. Nope, definitely not gonna get any American coverage. I mean Jesus H. Christ. For a league desperate to attract non-hockey fans, the Olympics are a perfect way to market its players to those who aren't NHL watchers already.
