Not at all - although I think that physician did, as she was pretty clearly doing it to see if she could get my ass laid out on the floor.

Ya know, I'm far from mean like that, but if it was intentional it's a little funny.... Ethical... Maybe not, but still funny

Unlike this injury

I'm really reserving judgment. Those high ankle sprains are notoriously difficult to recover from. If that's what it is, you can already anticipate him returning, say, in late November, but not looking at all like himself until some time in the new year.

If true.... He's done for half the season at least

They said 6-10 weeks for Lehner after his high ankle sprain.... so I would guess we'd be looking at sometime around the beginning of Dec, which mean he misses about 20-25 games.

Others on the Twitter saying that high ankles can also be more like 6-8. Which, even if so, you're talking early December.

If it really is a high ankle sprain, it won't be right and it will bother him all year long.

I am betting xray done already, MRI to follow maybe shortly.

Could know a lot a contrasted high res CT as well not sure of Sabres protocol.

Right, they have x-ray equipment at the key bank hockey place

I think this team can hold onto .500 until he gets back.

We need Lehner.  He was important before but now it's Defcon 5.  We need to hold onto .500 for the first 25-30 games of the year until he's back.  Bayly getting the promotion I assume?

It's been four hours.  They probably have both the x-ray and the MRI done by now.

Looks like the knee to me.

Why do you think this? He gets up on his knees after the injury. If it was a knee injury the last thing he would do would put extra strain on it by kneeling.

Sabres' season starts tomorrow, was ready to start posting with high hopes for a year where we qualify for the playoffs, everything looking like it was coming up roses,  and now this...... smh!   And a practice injury too, FFS!!!   Unbelievable!!!   Hopefully, the rest of the roster is strong enough now, with enough depth, that losing him for 1/3rd or more of the season won't be a crippler.

Don't they wait on the MRI until the swelling goes down?

Right, maybe done but we don't know the results
