MODO Hockey Posted October 5, 2016 Report Posted October 5, 2016 (edited) Hey boys, This is a post regarding a star that has been born, and this must end really well imo. First of all, Once up on a time there was a Swedish player called Magnus Wernblom ( http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=237 )He was one of the famous guys born in -73, Ornskoldsvik (MODO), together with Peter Forsberg and Markus Naslund, Niklas Sundstrom, and others, but declined a contract with LA Kings to play with MODO Hockey. Most likely because he knew he could not outskate players in NHL.The difference was that he did not have the skating ability as Peter and Markus did, but wow could he score, he had an incredible slapshot and he was like Holmstrom for Detroit, in front of the enemy net for MODO Hockey, he did so many goals right there, he is considered a hockey god here in Ornskoldsvik, Sweden. Everyone that knows hockey in Sweden knows who Magnus Wernblom is. He today holds the scoring points in MODO Hockey history. His personality was incredible, he never backed off a fight no matter what, the referees hated him becuase he always made a point of every situation, and he really really loved to win and make fun of his opponents, that made him an icon in Swedish hockey and it will be in history books for ever here in Sweden.A short video of his return for his 15th season with MODO Hockey beeing away for a couple of years,It may not look much, but if you lived with us here and see what we saw, you would understand. He really LIVED for hockey, it ment litterly everything for him. Then, year 2000 him and his wife gave birth to an incredible son. Now he is 16 years old, he just made history beeing the first kid born on 2000s scoring on senior level in Sweden.2 games, 2 goals. His son, Lukas Wernblom will be drafted early by no doubt imo, i hope Sabres is keeping an eye on him. Second goal below ..Fast forward to 1:00, goal comes 1:14 (all players underneath 18 needs to wear faceprotection)The commentator is saying in the end of this clip "I can guarantee that his father would never have gotten to that puck in the first place, so his son is by far a better skater" His rewards so far: 2014-2015 U16 SM Silver Medal - WSI U15 Most Valuable Player- TV-Pucken Best Forward (Biggest youth tourney in Sweden) 2015-2016 - TV-Pucken Gold Medal 15/16 - TV-Pucken Gold Medal 15/16- U16 4 Nations Tournament Best Forward 15/16- U16 SM Best Forward 15/16- WSI U15 Most Valuable Player 14/15 TV-Pucken Best Forward (Sven Tumbas Stipendium) Edited October 5, 2016 by MODO Hockey Quote

sabills Posted October 5, 2016 Report Posted October 5, 2016 At 16 he can still grow. He won't be eligible til 2018 draft We'll have won the cup and be on to the next tank by then. Quote
Doohicksie Posted October 5, 2016 Report Posted October 5, 2016 After i train him, yes. WAX ON, WAX OFF ! :flirt: That first goal, he accelerates out of his zone and then just ambles toward the goal while the other players are skating pretty hard. He's got Eichel-like acceleration. Quote
