Randall Flagg Posted November 6, 2016 Report Posted November 6, 2016 The defensemen are battling and doing what they can, and Bylsma is doing a good job with their deployment. But this already looks ugly. Timmy really needs to make a move. We can't play them like this for the next month. Quote
CallawaySabres Posted November 10, 2016 Author Report Posted November 10, 2016 So sick and tired of these injuries from both Sabres and Bills. Sabes absolutely have to be within striking distance of the 8 spot when Jack comes back as I really can't go through another terrible season. Quote
spndnchz Posted November 10, 2016 Report Posted November 10, 2016 Ennis, groin surgery, out "weeks". Quote
Doohicksie Posted November 10, 2016 Report Posted November 10, 2016 That's okay, considering Kane is back. We can only handle one enigmatic winger at a time. Quote
pi2000 Posted November 10, 2016 Report Posted November 10, 2016 Ennis, groin surgery, out "weeks". I blame the trainers for these soft tissue injuries. There are proper ways to stretch, warm-up and cool-down, which apparently neither the Bills nor Sabres care to do properly. Quote

I know so many people I played sports with who year after year got injuries I never experienced and then if finally dawned on me... during warm up and stretching I took it seriously and they around. beerme1 Posted November 11, 2016 Report Posted November 11, 2016 Count Enzo out for a while with groin surgery. http://nhl.nbcsports.com/2016/11/10/the-latest-setback-ennis-out-several-weeks-following-groin-surgery/ Quote
CallawaySabres Posted November 11, 2016 Author Report Posted November 11, 2016 what the hell happened to Kulikov? Quote
beerme1 Posted November 11, 2016 Report Posted November 11, 2016 Ennis, groin surgery, out "weeks". Beat me by that much. Count Enzo out for a while with groin surgery. http://nhl.nbcsports.com/2016/11/10/the-latest-setback-ennis-out-several-weeks-following-groin-surgery/ Uhh, guess I missed that then huh? Quote
Brawndo Posted November 12, 2016 Report Posted November 12, 2016 John Vogl reporting it's double sports hernia surgery for Ennis and he will be out possibly 2 months Quote
That Aud Smell Posted November 12, 2016 Report Posted November 12, 2016 Ironic. The sports hernia is what I am fearing with ROR. Quote
darksabre Posted November 12, 2016 Report Posted November 12, 2016 John Vogl reporting it's double sports hernia surgery for Ennis and he will be out possibly 2 months Poor guy. Just can't avoid injury. Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted November 13, 2016 Report Posted November 13, 2016 Ironic. The sports hernia is what I am fearing with ROR. No!!! That is not cool. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted November 14, 2016 Report Posted November 14, 2016 No!!! That is not cool. I know - super not cool. But I'm starting to fear that's what it might be. It would fit what he seems to have been going through: Having some problems with something in his upper body, being out of the lineup, being back in the lineup, then not being well enough to go. It could just be a muscle strain, sure. But I am concerned. Is he skating today? Edit: No ROR on the ice today. :( Quote
CallawaySabres Posted November 14, 2016 Author Report Posted November 14, 2016 I just hope there is a legit Dman in the draft that can come in and help this team next year. Maybe they grab another dman in FA or via trade and make the run to 8th in 2017 Quote
pi2000 Posted November 14, 2016 Report Posted November 14, 2016 I don't like the attitude of this team. They sound defeated in their interviews... "hold the fort down" etc... while guys are out with injury is not the right mind set. They need to focus on winning games with no excuses. You see it every game, as soon as something doesn't go their way, instead of righting the ship, they have a built in excuse... "jack is out, ryan is out, etc.. etc.." and they have very little fight in those situations. I put that on Bylsma and lack of leadership. Gionta is doing the best he can, but he's not a guy the rest of the team can rally around and follow into battle. He's an overaged finesse player, not a Dougie Gilmour relentless work ethic guy who can set the tone. Quote
Ducky Posted November 15, 2016 Report Posted November 15, 2016 I am betting that Chevy doesn't blink first...having said that, I believe he signs before the Dec.1 deadline for two years. Nailed it... injury list as of today... Little Stafford Armia Perreault Matthias, Connor, Myers and I think Stuart. Burmistrov is either hurt or just benched...not sure, don't care... as long as he isn't on the ice. That's 7 starters not playing. Quote

Eichel, O'Reilly, Ennis, Bogosian, Kulikov, Fasching, Deslauriers : 7 Right there with you. Tough situation for you guys, obviously, I think we are feeling it a little more though based on results, probably because we are missing our top 2 centres. At least you guys still have your #1, who is playing great. Edited November 15, 2016 by Thorny Quote
Brawndo Posted November 16, 2016 Report Posted November 16, 2016 Per Bylsma Ennis to miss six weeks Quote

bob_sauve28 Posted November 18, 2016 Report Posted November 18, 2016 So ROR is almost ready to go, Jack is a ways off, anyone know how long the rest will be out for?? Quote

That Aud Smell Posted November 21, 2016 Report Posted November 21, 2016 I posted part of this in the GDT, but it properly belongs here. Some insight on sports hernias: http://undisclosedinjury.blogspot.com/2014/10/discussing-michael-grabners-injury-and.html Quote
