Rewording the headline, Six Sabres draft picks, including one with Pun-friendly name, returned to Junior. If Pu had stuck around, that'd be notable as few 3rd-rounders do in after their first camp.

Yup of course, we hold his right for 2 years until 2018. Teams always own the rights to drafted Junior players for 2 years after being drafted.

 

I wouldn't pu pu the idea that he'll use this experience to come back tougher and stronger.

Actually we just have to sign him to an entry level deal with in 2 years. He will need to prove a lot this season to get that now. We can always wait another year before deciding if we want to sign him to an entry level deal.

Or another 2 years. Often these guys get signed right at the end. Cornel being a recent example. I'm sure Pu will get a deal, probably not until 2018 though.
