LGR4GM Posted September 26, 2016 Report Posted September 26, 2016 Welcome to a world where you can get 600 hours of useless content created and streamable on YouTube each hour but no one can watch a hockey game. I hate the world sometimes. Yup, completely dumb. Quote
Thorner Posted September 26, 2016 Report Posted September 26, 2016 Larsson with Kane! Larsson with Kane! Okay, now I'm looking forward to a game tonight...that I can't watch. Sadness. To temper your enthusiasm - Almost assuredly the lines are set up that way because Eichel will be sliding into Larsson's forward slot when he plays, with Kane and Reinhart already in the positions they are set for to start the season. Ennis - O'Reilly - Okposo slides in as line 1, Eichel bumps Larsson down to line 3, and Girgensons goes to line 4. Who knows who the wings will be on line 4. Edit - Actually written in the report on Sabres.com: "Johan Larsson will center Kane and Reinhart against Minnesota, presumably as a placeholder until Jack Eichel returns to practice for the Sabres. Eichel has been resting after playing in six games for Team North America at the World Cup of Hockey, but Bylsma said he has passed his physical and is expected to practice with the non-game group on Tuesday." "Zemgus Girgensons will fill in at Larsson's normal spot centering Marcus Foligno and Brian Gionta. Bylsma said a goal of this camp is to give Girgensons ample time at center to establish his role going forward after he played primarily on the wing last season." Sorry, True :p Quote
WildCard Posted September 26, 2016 Report Posted September 26, 2016 God dammit DD. The good news is he'll break that line up by the end of October. The bad news is we have to watch the line for a month Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted September 26, 2016 Report Posted September 26, 2016 @Thorny: Unfortunately, I know. But I still wanted to see more, and maybe enough of a spark would happen to get Bylsma's attention. Quote

Randall Flagg Posted September 26, 2016 Author Report Posted September 26, 2016 I have a friend there. Kane has two nice hits. Good, crisp passing. Girgensons had a scoring chance and is playing well. Quote
Doohicksie Posted September 26, 2016 Report Posted September 26, 2016 So who's broadcasting? Duneavy and.... who? Quote
Randall Flagg Posted September 26, 2016 Author Report Posted September 26, 2016 So who's broadcasting? Duneavy and.... who? Peters. Girgensons scores! Quote
Randall Flagg Posted September 26, 2016 Author Report Posted September 26, 2016 Assisted by Foligno and Nelson Quote
Doohicksie Posted September 26, 2016 Report Posted September 26, 2016 That's what Peters sounds like, eh? Nothing like I would have imagined. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted September 26, 2016 Author Report Posted September 26, 2016 That's what Peters sounds like, eh? Nothing like I would have imagined. Never listened to Hockey Hotline? Here's the goal: https://twitter.com/BuffaloSabres/status/780552340613062656?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw It was actually assisted by Foligno and Bailey. Quote
Doohicksie Posted September 26, 2016 Report Posted September 26, 2016 Man, I'm PUMPED. Okay, I finally watched it with the sound. I'm convinced: This is the year the SABRES win the CUP. Never listened to Hockey Hotline? Nope. I live in Texas. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted September 26, 2016 Author Report Posted September 26, 2016 Here's a longer video that shows the play leading up to the goal. It was scored against Minnesota regulars. Shots 17-11 in favor of Buffalo after one. https://twitter.com/Matt_Bove/status/780552669639368704?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw Duff says Nelson looks very good. The crowd is chanting the Minnesota goalie's name, asking why he sucks. Quote
Doohicksie Posted September 27, 2016 Report Posted September 27, 2016 Duff says Nelson looks very good. I think he's got a good shot to make the opening night roster. Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted September 27, 2016 Report Posted September 27, 2016 Ya, another assist for the college kid! Quote

Nelson broke up a 2 on 1. He needs to teach everyone else how to do that. Wild score. https://twitter.com/Matt_Bove/status/780563835757400064?ref_src=twsrc%5EtfwHere's the Minnesota goal. Sloppy Apparently Nilsson looks strong. Just had a big glove save. I think Ullmark will get the third period. Shots are 30-27 in favor of Buffalo. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted September 27, 2016 Author Report Posted September 27, 2016 My friend is at the end where the Sabres shoot twice. At the start of the third: "HEY ALEX (Wild goalie), we're still here and you still suck!" Fans really letting him have it for some reason. A> Is there some rivalry between Penn State and the NCAA school he went to (if applicable) B> It's a standard college hockey thing Quote
Randall Flagg Posted September 27, 2016 Author Report Posted September 27, 2016 Carrier with a steal, Nylander with two sweet passes on the power play (he's at the point like he played in Juniors) Reinhart with a chance Quote
Randall Flagg Posted September 27, 2016 Author Report Posted September 27, 2016 Third power play of the period for the Sabres. Not sure if Minnesota has a shot yet. I really, really hope Nelson is a hidden gem that takes Franson's roster spot. Quote
