Reinhart edges Lehner for most improved this year and by playoff time Eichel is the Sabres best player.

 

Kulikov meshes very well w/ Risto making a legit top pairing (for this team, and would be the top pairing on ~1/2 of the teams) allowing McCabe and Bogosian to be a solid 2nd pairing even though McCabe regresses through the 1st 2/3rds of the season.

 

Fasching is team's top rookie this year.

 

Sabres lose in 1st round in 7 to one of the FLA teams.
