Randall Flagg Posted September 30, 2016 Author Report Posted September 30, 2016 13 is not nearly as popular or star-studded as some of the surrounding numbers. We have: Yuri Khmylev Slava Kozlov (heh) Jiri Novotny Tim Kennedy The rest: Jim Schoenfeld 1985 Yuri Khmylev 1993-1996 Vyacheslav Kozlov 2002 Jiri Novotny 2006-2007 Tim Kennedy 2010 So, Schoenfeld is the only player not shown. He'll obviously be featured in a week. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted September 30, 2016 Report Posted September 30, 2016 ^ Wow - that is a bit of a lackluster bunch. Surprising. Khmylev was, IIRC, part of the one of the most hilariously awful calls that Gurtler ever manufactured. Something about the "euro-train pulling into the station." Quote
drnkirishone Posted September 30, 2016 Report Posted September 30, 2016 you need not show anyone after Yuri Quote
That Aud Smell Posted September 30, 2016 Report Posted September 30, 2016 ###### Kozlov. with a broken champagne bottle. Quote

That Aud Smell Posted October 5, 2016 Report Posted October 5, 2016 He may not be #1, but Rasmussen has to be one of the most disappointing Sabres of all time, right? Him and Keith Gretzky. And Doug Yzerman. Quote

pi2000 Posted October 5, 2016 Report Posted October 5, 2016 He may not be #1, but Rasmussen has to be one of the most disappointing Sabres of all time, right? That was a terrible draft in general for all teams... Rasmussen (picked 7th overall) ended up playing over 500 games in the NHL, which is more games than the 2nd, 4th and 5th picks that year. Quote

Rasmussen (picked 7th overall) ended up playing over 500 games in the NHL, which is more games than the 2nd, 4th and 5th picks that year. I didn't follow prospects and whatnot back then, I just remember comparisons to Keith Tkachuk. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted October 5, 2016 Report Posted October 5, 2016 Was he a high draft pick? He was. That was a terrible draft in general for all teams... Rasmussen (picked 7th overall) ended up playing over 500 games in the NHL, which is more games than the 2nd, 4th and 5th picks that year. Good insight. Rasmussen at least had stretches of time where he was useful, competent. Quote
dudacek Posted October 6, 2016 Report Posted October 6, 2016 I thought Rasmussen as going to be Brendan Shanahan. Certainly among my most disappointing Sabres. Quote

Randall Flagg Posted October 9, 2016 Author Report Posted October 9, 2016 Hey guys, I really screwed this up again. My friend I mentioned in the Thursday thread passed away. Could someone please put a picture of Schoenfeld and Housley for number 6, and maybe a number five guy, and cover number 4 tomorrow (Sunday) please? Thanks so much for your help so far with this thing, and I'm sorry to be flaking it up right at the end. Quote
