JJFIVEOH
Vegas will be getting Reimer or Luongo.
sodbuster
Is GMTM going to acquire every netminder born under a blue and yellow flag?
pi2000
I doubt Nilsson plays much if at all. If/When Lehner gets hurt or needs a day off, they can call up Ullmark.
Robviously
Reading up about our new back-up and he seems pretty terrible. This is really the best we could do via trade? Why not bring back Enroth for a year? The most games Lehner has ever played in a season is 36 (in 2013-2014). He's played 107 games total since 2010-2011. Is it really wise to hope he can play 60-70 games this year because we have a lousy back-up? Can he even stay healthy long enough to make that happen? beerme1
Hey we got a back up. I'm good. Now back to more pressing matters. I still want Fowler or Shatty and Vesey signed. There's going be a buzz about this team come the start of the season.

He's tiny and that's not GMTM's style, especially considering small goalies are expected to be hurt even more by the equipment changes. I love Jhonas and hope he latches on somewhere, but I'm not hurt that he's not here
3putt
I still believe Petersen will be our goalie when we win our cup. I know that is a few years away, but the kid is good.

Lehner comes down with so much as a hangnail we see Ullmark. It'll be alright.
Robviously
Lehner comes down with so much as a hangnail we see Ullmark. It'll be alright. Let's say Lehner can make 50 starts this year -- way more than he ever has in an NHL season to date. Can Nilsson and Ullmark give us what we need in the other 32 games to make the playoffs? After signing Okposo and trading for Kulikov, our goal for this year has to be to make the playoffs. Replacing Chad Johnson with Nilsson seems like a pretty notable downgrade that puts that goal in doubt.
Sabel79
Ullmark could very well carry the load if needed in an injury to Lehner situation. If GMTM didn't think that you'd have seen an above replacement level signing made for a backup.

Replacing Chad Johnson with Nilsson seems like a pretty notable downgrade that puts that goal in doubt. If Ullmark can't manage, we have enough assets where a mid-season trade is possible. It's obvious GMTM believes in Lehner, but he's banking assets as well. For example, if Ennis can play again and looks good, he could return a decent goalie come February and save our play-off chances.
JJFIVEOH
If it means anything, Nilsson finished 2nd in the KHL in save percentage in 2014-15 @ .936.
Tondas
Murray likes big goalies. With the reduction this year in goalie pad size, big goalies will have a distinct advantage, especally if Nilsson can be designated as one of the goalies allowed to wear bigger equipment (e.g. Bishop, Lehner). In this case, this year, size does matter ;) . Probably a big reason why he passed on Enroth.
