9-15-23 needs to stop. One nice play against the Rangers versus four games of getting hemmed in otherwise. These players can be utilized so much better.

I'm not even married to 15-23 anymore.

1.  Do not with the ROR line.

 

2.  Why in the world would Will Carrier belong on any top line on any NHL team?

 

3.  You have two centers on each of the top two lines.

 

4.  You are putting Moulson and Gionta together with Derek Grant, which is just asking for your fourth line to get its ass kicked.

 

5.  You have two ham-handed forwards playing with the best puck-carrier on the team (that's still Kane, although Eich will take that over by the end of the year.)

1.  Do not ###### with the ROR line.

This is fair to want to keep them together.

2.  Why in the world would Will Carrier belong on any top line on any NHL team?

Come on, man. He's not the driver of the line. Neither is Dan's alternative, Moulson. Panik, Brunette, and guys like them have played 1st line ice time with Toews on cup-winning teams. Carrier has been doing fine opening up space for ROR and KO. Wasn't he out there with them for the goal tonight?

Uh...The centers in my lineup are the same as they are right now and have been since Jack came back.

4.  You are putting Moulson and Gionta together with Derek Grant, which is just asking for your fourth line to get its ass kicked.

Yes. We've seen much worse both this season and last.

5.  You have two ham-handed forwards playing with the best puck-carrier on the team (that's still Kane, although Eich will take that over by the end of the year.)

KO-Zem is net-even with Sam-Kane in terms of hands with Eichel.

Anyone else surprised the Pu didn't get a whiff on the Canadian Jr roster given his performance this year? There are 7 other forwards drafted in the 3rd round or later invited to camp some of which aren't having as good a year as Pu.

 

Happy for Casey however.

 

So who are our top prospects right now?

1) Nylander

2) Guhle

 

Then whom?

You have the wingers AHL Bailey, Baptiste, Fasching and Carrier in a group

Then you have the next group of younger forward in Pu, Asplund and Estephan

Where do goalies like Petersen and Ullmark fit in.

How about D Fitzgerald or Borgen?

 

I think these are the top 13 overall. Then maybe Hurley and Cornel. Anyone I'm missing?

Carrier is playing on the top line in Buffalo and has played 16 games this year.  I think he's in a tier above the others mentioned in that sentence.

He's got two points and is averaging nine minutes a game.

Baptiste put up similar numbers is his 12 games, Fasching was the one who made the team out of training camp and Bailey was the favourite six months ago.

I'd say none of them has really separated from the pack yet.

Asplund is a very impressive prospect. Had a great development camp here and several analysts i've read over the summer think he'll be the steal of the draft.

Granted they are all a year older, but history says not everyone gets better, yet at least statistically all our college prospects, both F & D, have improved offensively at least.   I'm very excited about the progress of Brown, Hurley, and Fitzgerald.  I'm also interested to see if Malone and Florentino have done enough to earn a contract from the Sabres.  We could really use a physical and defensive D like Florentino who can actually skate well.

I also don't remember the Sabres having so many guys in college.

Lot of third and fourth year guys; not all of them will get contracts - too many picks, not enough room.

Cal Petersen is likely coming out too and he will get an offer.

 

Always liked Malone as a Torrey Mitchell type - fast and fiesty.
