nobody Posted June 25, 2016 Report Posted June 25, 2016 (edited) Compared to Casey Fitzgerald; that's a big ol' Pu. https://twitter.com/BuffaloSabres/status/746734629827248128 Edited June 25, 2016 by nobody Quote
Hoss Posted June 25, 2016 Author Report Posted June 25, 2016 Anyone flush with excitement? This day has been circling my mind for days and I'm glad to finally take Pu. I needed a pinch to be sure it's real. He was number two on my list at the time of the pick, a real backdoor surprise. Other team are brown with envy. Poop. Quote

Huckleberry Posted June 25, 2016 Report Posted June 25, 2016 probably got picked for his playoff performance, 8 goals and 13 points in 18 games. Quote
Norcal Posted June 25, 2016 Report Posted June 25, 2016 NHLN had alot to say about Pu. Even the host had his own little story about him. I already said I like this pick but as time goes by I love it! I think this guy will play in the NHL. Quote

Rasmus_ Posted June 26, 2016 Report Posted June 26, 2016 He cannot wear number 2, because he's been wearing it his whole life. He's getting cramped up with anticipation with the draft hovering over. His dream bobbed into reality as the pick came flushing in. What about you Mr. Pu. Quote

Weave Posted June 26, 2016 Report Posted June 26, 2016 It doesnt matter. Round 3 is a crapshoot anyway. Its not like choosing anyone else would have been flushing the pick. Quote
LTS Posted June 26, 2016 Report Posted June 26, 2016 So the Sabres draft Pu and Asplund thus ensuring they will continue to be the butt of NHL jokes. Quote
pi2000 Posted June 26, 2016 Report Posted June 26, 2016 You couldn't wipe the smile of his face if you tried. Welcome to Buffalo Mr. Pu. Quote
Stoner Posted June 26, 2016 Report Posted June 26, 2016 I would not casually disregard this pick. I would not p... I can't. I'm sorry. I just can't. The people have suffered enough. Quote
dudacek Posted June 26, 2016 Report Posted June 26, 2016 (edited) This highlight package is amazing. Kid can fly and his size and skill level look pretty solid too. I mean holy crap! Edited June 26, 2016 by dudacek Quote
inkman Posted June 26, 2016 Report Posted June 26, 2016 I'd love to hear what his teammates call him. Quote
Hoss Posted June 26, 2016 Author Report Posted June 26, 2016 It's going to be very interested to see how his development goes in London this year. Christian Dvorak, JJ Piccinch and Aaron Berisha (all players who got more ice time and scored more than Cliff) are guaranteed to leave the team. Then there's the possibility that Tkachuk and Marner both leave (I would imagine Marner at least gets a tryout in Toronto). So Pu will be expected to step into a leading role for the team. He seems to have the skills to have a huge jump in production next year. I could see him having the Fasching-like jump in value and Baptiste-like jump in production this season. Quote

Good Analysis, I would expect Pu to become an over a point per game producer for the Knights this season with a shot of hitting 90 points on the season. He scored at a rate of .49PPG in regular season and was able to increase his production to .72PPG in the playoffs. The important thing to remember is that he didn't get anytime of the vaunted London Power Play last season. Assuming he is on the PP for the 16/17 season we should see his stats take off. Quote
