Didn't they keep Kane out until the playoffs so they could make deadline acquisitions that would have put them over the cap? The cap goes away during the playoffs, doesn't it?

That sounds vaguely familiar. And yea, there's no cap in the playoffs.

The Ducks have a $4.15 million backup goalie.  I'd dump Bernier (waivers) instead of Fowler if I was the Ducks GM.  I guess Bernier is hurt right now, though.
