That said, anybody else think that Vesey's comments about Buffalo preparing him for other GMs is basically him basically stating: other teams are going to have to beat what Murray and Bylsma offered?

 

And isn't that basically why Murray made the trade?

The more I think about this, the more I believe he doesn't really know where he wants to play yet.   His heart probably says Boston, but his mind says to stay clear of the hometown team starting a downward spiral.    He's probably hoping some team knocks his socks off to make the decision easier.

Yes we know that, and so does he.  But maybe some team promises him a spot next to Toews, or Matthews... or power play time, or terms of a future contract, or a locker next to P Kane, or P Bergeron.  Or free round-trip flights for family members,e tc..

Quenville watched vesey in MA tonight. If Vesey wants to play with them for 2 years then get traded to Columbus cuz Chi can't afford him, then go ahead and sign with them. I would think he'd stay clear of them
