I will agree: Many of us (myself included) gave the guy a lot of flack for the choice he made, but the early results are a resounding justification of the choice he made.

No matter how you look at it, Murray took the risk that so many bitched about Regier never doing. It didn't pan out. It was a 3rd round pick. In 56 years, how many 3rd rounders ended up being game-changers for the Sabres? Sekera? Sheppard? Cloutier?

If anything the early returns validate Murray giving up a third for a sniff... if he was a complete bust we'd be all over Murray and has poor evaluation of Vesey's talent (even tho he acts like an entitled prick).

There are 20 million people in the greater NY metro area. That's more than half of all of Canada. Maybe relative to the overall population it's not a lot, but there are a lot more Rangers fans than you guys think.

I'm certainly not questioning how many Rangers fans there are but I am questioning how many hockey fans there are. We are a very jaded bunch in here. Most of my friends, who I consider good Sabres fans couldn't name 50% of the roster.
