TrueBlueGED Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 Is it possible that Toronto is as bad defensively as Ottawa?
LGR4GM Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 I'm pretty sure beer league teams play better, or at least comparable, team defense. In the technical sense, or the real world sense? :p Real world, outside of Karlsson,
Randall Flagg Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 Is it possible that Toronto is as bad defensively as Ottawa? They're worse. They're one of the bottom three defensive teams in the league, and Karlsson keeps Ottawa outside of that.
TrueBlueGED Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 Real world, outside of Karlsson, Turris is a quality two-way center. That's all I got. Their entire blue line outside of Karlsson is awful, and the rest of their forwards are offense-only.
WildCard Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 Real world, outside of Karlsson,Phanuef

I'll expand at some point in the Buffalo vs. Toronto rebuild thread, but I think Toronto ultimately has a better collection of skilled offensive talent. However, we have far-and-away a superior collection of two-way and balanced players, and in today's NHL, that's what wins more often than not.

TrueBlueGED Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 Phanuef By "play defense" I assume he meant play defense, not be a defenseman :p He's gonna leave If there was ever a star who was justified in forcing a trade...
WildCard Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 By "play defense" I assume he meant play defense, not be a defenseman :pI don't think Phaneuf even qualifies for 'plays' :lol:If there was ever a star who was justified in forcing a trade...When does his contract end?
Randall Flagg Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 He's gonna leave Yes, he will. He already has some comments that hint at his displeasure.
Sabel79 Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 (edited) Because I have a free evening and and a serious hockey addiction, I'm watching Laffs/sens on the tv and blues/Blackhawks on the iPad. Chicago looks hella bad in thier own end. They're one Crawford away from being 5 goals down right now... Edited October 13, 2016 by Sabres79
BagBoy Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 That looked like a "set play" as they say in the soccer world
SwampD Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 That looked like a "set play" as they say in the soccer world Looked like they had a couple of them and one finally worked. That was awesome.

LGR4GM Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 Ottawa has an internal cap. This will create problems continuously.
