North Buffalo Posted July 25, 2016 Report Posted July 25, 2016 (edited) Shoot high blocker on him Edited July 25, 2016 by North Buffalo
Samson's Flow Posted July 25, 2016 Report Posted July 25, 2016 Shoot high blocker on him I think it might be an advantage facing a goalie that used to play for us. You know the Sabres players have multiple hours worth of practice against Mr. Enroth and know all the tendencies.
Randall Flagg Posted July 25, 2016 Report Posted July 25, 2016 Just gotta give him the ol' knuckle-puck-while-falling-on-your-ass shot, it works every time.

Randall Flagg Posted July 26, 2016 Report Posted July 26, 2016 Or at least Ennis has. Damn, this team has changed. Ennis and Foligno, how many others? And, I'll believe Ennis plays another game for this team when I see it happen. Just a gut feeling.
JJFIVEOH Posted July 26, 2016 Report Posted July 26, 2016 Don't the Leaves already have two goaltenders? They also signed Montoya.
Randall Flagg Posted July 26, 2016 Report Posted July 26, 2016 Don't the Leaves already have two goaltenders? They also signed Montoya. I think Montreal signed Montoya.
JJFIVEOH Posted July 26, 2016 Report Posted July 26, 2016 I think Montreal signed Montoya. You're right, my bad. Don't know why I thought Al went to Toronto.
Randall Flagg Posted July 26, 2016 Report Posted July 26, 2016 You're right, my bad. Don't know why I thought Al went to Toronto. Meh, two crappy Canadian franchises that will spend the next decade in our rear-view mirror. I don't see much of a difference from here either.

Samson's Flow Posted July 27, 2016 Report Posted July 27, 2016 Or at least Ennis has. Damn, this team has changed. I guess you're right. Wasn't the Enroth years only like 2 years ago? GMTM is a mad wheeler and dealer Meh, two crappy Canadian franchises that will spend the next decade in our rear-view mirror. I don't see much of a difference from here either.Randall is the most positive pro-sabres poster here. We can all be more like him.
Cereal Posted July 27, 2016 Report Posted July 27, 2016 Also Namestikov signed a two-year deal with Tampa, $1.9375 per.
pi2000 Posted July 27, 2016 Report Posted July 27, 2016 Barrie is still out there. Heard he's asking for 6 mil, COL offering 4 mil.
Hoss Posted July 27, 2016 Author Report Posted July 27, 2016 Nashville got Calle Jarkrok for six years at $2 mill per. That's a great AAV for the team. Long term for a guy like him but worth getting the big discount.
WildCard Posted July 27, 2016 Report Posted July 27, 2016 Barrie is still out there. Heard he's asking for 6 mil, COL offering 4 mil. There's no way he's worth below $5M

beerme1 Posted July 27, 2016 Report Posted July 27, 2016 Pretty funky. Does Calle not expect to get any better? Looks like he's banking on it actually.
pi2000 Posted July 27, 2016 Report Posted July 27, 2016 (edited) There's no way he's worth below $5M http://www.todaysslapshot.com/from-the-ice/avalanche-tyson-barrie-one-million-apart-arbitration/ All arbitrated contracts are 1 or 2 year contracts. His hearing is Friday. That said he'd probably accept a longer term deal at 5.5, but if COL is only offering a bridge at 4, then wow, that's not even close. I can see GMTM swooping in and making an attempt to take him off their hands. Even if that doesn't happen and COL accepts the one-year arbitrated deal, then I don't see him sticking around COL much longer. Edited July 27, 2016 by pi2000
Randall Flagg Posted July 28, 2016 Report Posted July 28, 2016 Keep being stubborn, Joe. We've got a player named Bogosian who plays just the kind of game you guys like over there.

It would be a coup to get Barrie from COL. If a deal went down, you would think eventually Sakic and co. would stop trading with us though... (hopefully that's after we also pry Landeskog/Duchene out of there )
