ubkev Posted May 25, 2016 Report Posted May 25, 2016 I don't know if Tampa can keep up this pace. If more goals don't come, and quickly, they might find themselves getting burned on the other end. But in the meantime....awesome period of hockey so far. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted May 25, 2016 Report Posted May 25, 2016 Hooray for game 7. Always cheer for a game 7. Quote
ubkev Posted May 25, 2016 Report Posted May 25, 2016 Hooray for game 7. Always cheer for a game 7. Meh, I'll be at work. Sucks for me. Sure I'll have the game on. But I won't be able to appreciate it. Quote
JJFIVEOH Posted May 25, 2016 Report Posted May 25, 2016 I think Emrick meant to say Darren Pang and not Daren Puppa. Quote
Thorner Posted May 25, 2016 Report Posted May 25, 2016 Breaking news: Sidney Crosby is still good at the sport of hockey. 3 Pens win this series, 3 Crosby game-winning goals. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted May 25, 2016 Report Posted May 25, 2016 3 Pens win this series, 3 Crosby game-winning goals. Insert snark here about not being as clutch as Toews or as good of a leader because of Cup count. Quote
Thorner Posted May 25, 2016 Report Posted May 25, 2016 Insert snark here about not being as clutch as Toews or as good of a leader because of Cup count. I was going to add in that one more would put him on Toews level but wasn't sure people would get the sarcasm. What's really funny/interesting: when Toews scored big goals, it was called clutch. Because while he gets his fair share of points, his totals are considerably less than other players. He doesn't score all the time, so when he does it's clutch. Sid scores all the time, so when he goes for a few games without scoring, like Toews, and then scores, it's presented in the media as Crosby performing now as he should, picking up his game to where it should be. It's not considered clutch. Clutch gets a positive connotation in the media, but if you are on Sid's level, some won't allow him to be clutch - He can only perform as he is expected to. Interesting dynamic. Quote
