We're down to the final four.  The semis.  Or, for those who are a little younger than me, the "conference finals."  Game 1 is Sunday night.  Have at it.

I personally prefer "semifinals" and really "semis."  "Conference finals" is a marketing gimmick.

The big question is singular or plural, especially when it comes to the Stanley Cup final. Or finals.

I want the west to win the Cup because neither franchise has ever won. I'm leaning towards the Blues because they've been around longer but wouldn't be upset to see the heartbreak Sharks win. Those vets have been on a good team for a long time.

 

The media would whine that the east is weaker and that there may not be a challenger to Western dominance until... the Sabres grow into a contender.

My preference is the Blues, then the Sharks, Lightning, Pens. There's no team I dislike like the Flyers, Bruins, or most Canadian teams.

I've been cheering for the Pens this playoffs solely because the leafs own their first round pick and I want it to be as low as possible :devil:

Eh, not really a knee on knee. Kunitz got him with the hip as Johnson was turning around to take the hit head on. Weird play by Johnson. I think the knee on knee was incidental.
