Eleven Posted May 13, 2016 Report Posted May 13, 2016 We're down to the final four. The semis. Or, for those who are a little younger than me, the "conference finals." Game 1 is Sunday night. Have at it. Quote
Derrico Posted May 13, 2016 Report Posted May 13, 2016 (edited) We're down to the final four. The semis. Or, for those who are a little younger than me, the "conference finals." Game 1 is Sunday night. Have at it. I believe it begins tonight. I'm taking Blues and Penguins (I know, going out on a limb right?) Edit: Game 1 of East goes tonight. Game 1 of west goes down on Sunday. Edited May 13, 2016 by Derrico Quote

nfreeman Posted May 13, 2016 Report Posted May 13, 2016 I personally prefer "semifinals" and really "semis." "Conference finals" is a marketing gimmick. Carry on. Quote
Stoner Posted May 13, 2016 Report Posted May 13, 2016 The big question is singular or plural, especially when it comes to the Stanley Cup final. Or finals. Quote
French Collection Posted May 13, 2016 Report Posted May 13, 2016 I want the west to win the Cup because neither franchise has ever won. I'm leaning towards the Blues because they've been around longer but wouldn't be upset to see the heartbreak Sharks win. Those vets have been on a good team for a long time. The media would whine that the east is weaker and that there may not be a challenger to Western dominance until... the Sabres grow into a contender. Quote
pastajoe Posted May 13, 2016 Report Posted May 13, 2016 My preference is the Blues, then the Sharks, Lightning, Pens. There's no team I dislike like the Flyers, Bruins, or most Canadian teams. Quote
Derrico Posted May 13, 2016 Report Posted May 13, 2016 I've been cheering for the Pens this playoffs solely because the leafs own their first round pick and I want it to be as low as possible  Quote
darksabre Posted May 14, 2016 Report Posted May 14, 2016 I'll never understand how Phil Kessel is a pro athlete. The guy just looks like any random dude you'd play beer league with. Quote
darksabre Posted May 14, 2016 Report Posted May 14, 2016 I hope the Pens lose solely because of this anthem rendition. Callahan with a brutally careless hit from behind on Letang. Quote
darksabre Posted May 14, 2016 Report Posted May 14, 2016 Bishop being stretchered off after hurting himself during a scramble. Quote
pastajoe Posted May 14, 2016 Report Posted May 14, 2016 That's a shame. Losing Bishop could cost the series. Quote
3putt Posted May 14, 2016 Report Posted May 14, 2016 I have no sound what are they saying he injured? Quote
darksabre Posted May 14, 2016 Report Posted May 14, 2016 I have no sound what are they saying he injured? Looks like the left knee. Badly. Quote
3putt Posted May 14, 2016 Report Posted May 14, 2016 He looks in a lot of pain. Wow...nasty turn of events Quote
3putt Posted May 14, 2016 Report Posted May 14, 2016 Wow totally dominated for 10 minutes and get the first one. Quote
darksabre Posted May 14, 2016 Report Posted May 14, 2016 Johnson just got his right knee bent the wrong way on that hit. Quote
3putt Posted May 14, 2016 Report Posted May 14, 2016 Kunitz with a knee on knee, he should be done. D4rk is it just you me on this couples skate? Quote
darksabre Posted May 14, 2016 Report Posted May 14, 2016 Eh, not really a knee on knee. Kunitz got him with the hip as Johnson was turning around to take the hit head on. Weird play by Johnson. I think the knee on knee was incidental. and yes looks like it. Quote
3putt Posted May 14, 2016 Report Posted May 14, 2016 I cant give him the benefit of the doubt. He does that alot. Quote
darksabre Posted May 14, 2016 Report Posted May 14, 2016 I suppose. I thought it was a weird turn by Johnson. Quote
Eleven Posted May 14, 2016 Author Report Posted May 14, 2016 Don Cherry. Tell you what, , let me run at your throat. You can't talk your nonsense on TV for a year. So I'm ok, then, "eh"? Quote
3putt Posted May 14, 2016 Report Posted May 14, 2016 I didn't like the hit on Letang either. Even though i despise him. This is the semis I want the best players on the ice. ###### Don Cherry. ... Posted May 14, 2016 Report Posted May 14, 2016 That's it for Tampa. No way they have a chance without Bishop. Quote
