TrueBlueGED Posted April 14, 2016 Report Posted April 14, 2016 Killed it  Something tells me Hitchcock doesn't play video games. Looks more like he owns an ant farm The Blues have at least, bare minimum, 5 boarding calls tonight that have been let go. The refs decided that they've already called 7 too many penalties. Quote
WildCard Posted April 14, 2016 Report Posted April 14, 2016 (edited) The refs decided that they've already called 7 too many penalties. Not that it's even working. Both teams have been terrible on the pp, each going multiple times without a shot Panarin is so quick, and his shot is just absurd. He's gonna be good for awhile Edited April 14, 2016 by WildCard Quote

Both teams have been terrible on the pp, each going multiple times without a shot Panarin is so quick, and his shot is just absurd. He's gonna be good for awhile It took me a long time (see: mostly the entire season) to come around, but Panarin helped Kane get over 100 as much as Kane helped Panarin get to nearly 80. What a tandem. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted April 14, 2016 Report Posted April 14, 2016 It took me a long time (see: mostly the entire season) to come around, but Panarin helped Kane get over 100 as much as Kane helped Panarin get to nearly 80. What a tandem. That full-width cross ice one timer thing they can do, putting it shelf from 40 feet out, is ridiculous. They do it almost every game, too. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted April 14, 2016 Report Posted April 14, 2016 It's only game 1, they can still win, and I'm already having buyer's remorse on St. Louis. I really think they're the better team, but I just don't see them generating any quality chances right now, and that's without Keith playing. I take it all back! Great cycle and a win! Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted April 14, 2016 Report Posted April 14, 2016 What terrible luck The more 0-0 OT games that end on random luck the better. Screw the NHL, they deserve it. Quote
JJFIVEOH Posted April 14, 2016 Report Posted April 14, 2016 (edited) The lack of goal scoring in this last game was almost more exciting than more scoring and over-officiating in the other two. Almost like you knew it would come down to the team that actually won it as opposed to the other two where the refs tried to decide it. Edited April 14, 2016 by JJFIVEOH Quote
Thorner Posted April 14, 2016 Report Posted April 14, 2016 Big win for the Blues, always gotta throw pucks at the net in OT. Hopefully they can keep it up and get the Chicago monkey off their back this playoff series. Quote
... Posted April 14, 2016 Report Posted April 14, 2016 The Blues fans were like Roman gladiatorial spectators. That was a good game; Chicago's defense is deceptively effective. The may allow for too much zone time, but not a lot of shots are taken in the slot. Whereas, the Blues' offense is quite sneaky and had some really quality chances in close. I will be curious to see which team suffers under the so-called "Game of Attrition" tactic from the Blues. They tried that last year and it didn't work out for them. Elliott better stay on his game this series. Quote
SabresBillsFan Posted April 14, 2016 Report Posted April 14, 2016 I wanna see Kane get laid the &uck out. Even the most skilled players put themselves in spots to get laid out. Sorry but I want Chicago to get knocked out I'm sick of them. Quote
Sabel79 Posted April 14, 2016 Report Posted April 14, 2016 Catching up with last night's highlights. The Rangers had exactly one chance to win this series: superior goaltending, so of course Lundqvist take a stick in the eye from his own player. Kind of disappointing. Eff the Penguins, if only slightly harder than the Rags. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted April 14, 2016 Report Posted April 14, 2016 Watched the highlight of Backes's ugly winner. What caught my attention: The Blues apparently use Blur's Song 2 (WOOHOO!) as their goal song?! The hell is this - the 1999 Sabres? Quote
Brawndo Posted April 14, 2016 Report Posted April 14, 2016 (edited) I'm on vacation near Tampa and was driving listening to the Tampa Radio PBP, according to them there should have been 23 more Detroit Penalties called. But his description of the actual play is outstanding Edited April 14, 2016 by BRAWNDO Quote
Eleven Posted April 14, 2016 Author Report Posted April 14, 2016 Watched the highlight of Backes's ugly winner. What caught my attention: The Blues apparently use Blur's Song 2 (WOOHOO!) as their goal song?! The hell is this - the 1999 Sabres? Their powerplay music is really cheesy-old, too. The whole game, I was wondering what time traveler was running the AV show at Scottrade. Quote
LTS Posted April 14, 2016 Report Posted April 14, 2016 The refs decided that they've already called 7 too many penalties. Analytics... it's not just for puck possession anymore. Quote
darksabre Posted April 14, 2016 Report Posted April 14, 2016 Hawks will win the next 4. I was just coming in here to say this  Quote
... Posted April 14, 2016 Report Posted April 14, 2016 Hawks will win the next 4. The next game will indicate where this series goes. St. Louis is playing the same game as last year, but they look a lot more disciplined. Quote

inkman Posted April 14, 2016 Report Posted April 14, 2016 STL was outshot 35-18... they didn't deserve to win. Whoever wins deserves to win Quote
pi2000 Posted April 14, 2016 Report Posted April 14, 2016 Whoever wins deserves to win Whoever wins, wins. Doesn't mean they're the better team, which is why it's a 7 game series and not single elimination or best of 3. If the Hawks played like they did, and the Blue play like they did, Hawks may lose a battle or two, but they'll win the war. Quote
qwksndmonster Posted April 15, 2016 Report Posted April 15, 2016 I love Kuznetsov. He's such a deceptive player. Right when it seems like he's speeding up to carry the puck he fires a perfect pass right to somebody's tape. Almost every time. Quote
SwampD Posted April 15, 2016 Report Posted April 15, 2016 Boy, it's hard not to think the refs are favoring Washington. I hate the Flyers, but I hate BS officiating more. Quote
