27 points better than last season. This team is looking up. Need some infusion of veteran talent in key positions. improved defense and penalty kill units that are not at the bottom of the leage.

PK finished 9th I believe

Eichel and Reinhart finished the season with a combined 98 points.

Eichart for 98 in 2016.  How about Eichart for 140 in 2017.

Thanks for sharing the season ladies and gents.

Easily the best one to watch of the past four and probably a few before that.

I'll be joining many of you elsewhere on the forum for a summer of speculation and reflection.

The rest, I hope to see you in October.

I like where this team is headed.

I'll second that emotion.

Hey Eleven, they're calling for Julien's head in the Boston Globe this morning. IMO, the GM's are to blame for the status of the team. PTR is right though, everything is going to switch to the Red Sox.

Brian Gionta in the third, reminded me of his 48 goal season in NJ.  So impressive.  I've never thought he was out of place on this team, just needed to be a lower line guy.

Nice way to end a season that showed a lot of promise.

The Sabres, IMO, are on the right path.

For me this season was a big success.  I did not realistically expect the playoffs.  I wanted to see improvement and they did just that.

I agree -  a couple months ago it looked like the team was struggling to hit 70 points - and yet they finish the season with 81.   Team is moving in the right direction under GMTM.    I hope the results strengthened his position in the organization enough so he doesn't have to worry about being "Battista-ed"  and can finish what he started with minimal interference from others in the company.

If they, ahem, even consider it. He will have a job in 10 minutes. He's that good.
