Taro T Posted September 21, 2016 Report Posted September 21, 2016 What a sh1tty coach J.T seams to be. Big shame for USA that has so much talant. Shockingly my boy Lombardi put together this debacle leaving a ton of skill sitting at home. Don't know that they could have beat these guys, but putting together a skilled US team shoukd've beat the Pan-Europe team. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted September 21, 2016 Report Posted September 21, 2016 Phil Kessel @PKessel81 24m24 minutes ago Just sitting around the house tonight w my dog. Felt like I should be doing something important, but couldn't put my finger on it. Quote

Yea, I mean, even the best US team is a pretty big dog against Canada's best...but they'd have a better shot, and at least could beat the other teams. Team USA now has 1 goal scored in the past 4 international best-on-best tournament games. Think that speaks for itself. Quote

Felt like I should be doing something important, but couldn't put my finger on it. I admit I laughed. As much fun as it has been to watch Team NA, Team USA really could have used some of its young scorers. Not sure Jones, Gostisbehere, or Trouba would've made the roster though. Quote
Hoss Posted September 21, 2016 Report Posted September 21, 2016 My favorite stat of the World Cup so far: opposing teams had zero shots against in Ryan O'Reilly's first 84 even-strength minutes of ice time. Quote

TrueBlueGED Posted September 21, 2016 Report Posted September 21, 2016 ?? We scored two last night. Well, this should tell you about how much I was paying attention after it became 3-1  Quote
carpandean Posted September 21, 2016 Report Posted September 21, 2016 ?? We scored two last night. Getzlaf scored one of them. Literally banked it in off the back of his own goaltender. So, technically, there were two on the board, but we did not score two. Quote
inkman Posted September 21, 2016 Report Posted September 21, 2016 Something tells me he is eventually going to regret having sent that. It'll be at least 5 years before the NHL execs figure out what Twitter is. Quote
sodbuster Posted September 21, 2016 Report Posted September 21, 2016 Team USA sledge hockey player Josh Pauls tweeted out how he feels lucky that he was born without legs so he didn't have to suffer the embarrassment of playing for the stand up team. I have a feeling some shakeup is coming. Quote

GASabresIUFAN Posted September 21, 2016 Report Posted September 21, 2016 Here is the good news from USA hockey's failure. This generation of players and coaches mostly won't be on the next major team. In 2-4 years Eichel, Mathews, Johnny Hockey, Gibson, Saad, Trocheck, Seth Jones, Werenski, Hanafin and Justin Faulk should all be on the team. Why Faulk wasn't on it this time, I have no idea. We'll finally get rid of guys like Dubinsky, Adbelkader, Kesler, the Johnson boys, Backes etc. Frankly none of these guys should have been on the team this time. Also we can finally be rid of Torts. Hoepfully they'll hire DD or Cooper. I think we have moved on from bang first score later kind of hockey. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted September 21, 2016 Report Posted September 21, 2016 Erik Johnson is pretty good, isn't he? Quote
LGR4GM Posted September 21, 2016 Report Posted September 21, 2016 Erik Johnson is pretty good, isn't he? How the did he make the team? Like what the hell? We could have drawn names from a hat and put together a more capable team. They started Jonathan Quick as GT! They had Ben Bishop just chillin on the bench. Quote
dudacek Posted September 21, 2016 Report Posted September 21, 2016 Quick is better than Bishop. Schneider is better than both. Second best goalie in hockey. Quote
North Buffalo Posted September 21, 2016 Report Posted September 21, 2016 Something tells me he is eventually going to regret having sent that.Really? Torts should not be allowed to coach another hockey game at any level ever again. What a POS Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted September 21, 2016 Report Posted September 21, 2016 (edited) Erik Johnson is pretty good, isn't he? He's pretty meh. Don't think he'd have made my team. Though it's Jack Johnson who is the real turd. Edited September 21, 2016 by TrueBlueGED Quote
