That's what most of us thought after we saw the rosters.

That's what ALL of us thought after we saw the rosters.

Doesn't help that two shoe-ins for the USA were DQed.  (Eichel and that who will play for Toronto.)

Why is Jonathan Quick the starter over Bishop, like why?

Down 2 goals and they refuse to shoot the puck in wide open lanes

Oshie instead of shooting just passed it into a defender... dumbasses

And because Torts the moron used his challenge for nothing, he can't challenge GT interference there. Also why is Quick the starter?

Because he wins big games.

*hesitates*

Is this a big game? Regardless, should be Schneider.

Here is a pretty interesting article about how the smaller ice surface in the WC (relative to the Olympics) promotes more offense:  http://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/17582760/nhl-world-cup-hockey-team-canada-how-taking-advantage-nhl-ice-surface

I have felt this way since the last Olympics, which I found pretty disappointing in terms of excitement.

That's part of it. The other part is, on a larger ice surface there's more room for the puck to be away from the net even though the high probability scoring ares are still the same size on both rinks.

Go to a bigger rink & watch scoring go down even more - all other variables being identical.
