I would take Shattenkirk and/or Faulk over every defender on the team except Suter (maybe Carlson over Faulk but prob not).

 

I would take Okposo over Van Riemsdyk.

Maybe its homerism but this EUR roster could use a player like Zemgus.

That said, the speed advantage the kids showed against them is not evident yet for USA

Agreed. But they're banking on their youth. If it works (or at least shows good potential) then they can re-sign Tavares and go for it. If it flops... Tavares follows his fellow vets out the door and the Isles might just sink back to the ocean floor.

You can complain about player choices and utilization, but there are a helluvalot of good US forwards who have created squat today.
