WildCard Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 (edited) Are we really going to turn on GMTM in his first year after two tanks? Edited February 28, 2016 by WildCard Quote
JJFIVEOH Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 That was evident well before you didn't care for Larsson :nana: I walked right into that one. Quote
Eleven Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 I'm on mobile so I can't tell if you're new or not, Briere48, but if you are, welcome to the board  Oh he's been around for quite a while. He was at the first SS meet up at Tom Webster's bar long ago. Quote
Two or less Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 I'm on mobile so I can't tell if you're new or not, Briere48, but if you are, welcome to the board  No ive been here, just changed my name back to what i started with. Figured since he's retired now and Moulson is brutal it was the right time. Thank you though! Quote
WildCard Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 Oh he's been around for quite a while. He was at the first SS meet up at Tom Webster's bar long ago.Ahh, my mistake then. TW has a bar? Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 Are we really going to turn on GMTM in his first year after two tanks? Apparently. I understand being unhappy with another bad season, but that's misdirecting anger to me. I walked right into that one. Yea, sorry, it was there. I had to  Quote
WildCard Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 Can't really set up Kane any better than that Quote
Tondas Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 Are we really going to turn on GMTM in his first year after two tanks? If we agree that 2 tanks were the correct way to proceed, no. If you think otherwise..... Quote
Brawndo Posted February 28, 2016 Author Report Posted February 28, 2016 Jamie shoot four feet lower next time Quote
Eleven Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 Ahh, my mistake then. TW has a bar? Had. Quote
Two or less Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 I really hope TM has something big in the works that will improve this team because this is getting old. If you're hoping for him to make a significant improvement by Monday 3pm, you're setting yourself up for huge disappointment. Teams in our position don't go out and get help at the deadline. Also, i don't think Murray will want to risk losing lottery ball percentage odds. Quote
WildCard Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 If we agree that 2 tanks were the correct way to proceed, no. If you think otherwise.....Ah an anti-tanker. Well I won't rehash that argument then Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 I don't know how anyone watching the Anaheim game or this one could be too upset about McGinn leaving. If he's not collecting some garbage goals he doesn't bring much. If we agree that 2 tanks were the correct way to proceed, no. If you think otherwise..... He had no other choice at the point he took over. That bridge was already built. Quote

hockeyhound Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 (edited) Are we really going to turn on GMTM in his first year after two tanks? Third tank is a charm? I'm with you, patience; however, I would really like to see something happen Monday that will give us some hope. Something that makes sense. Edited February 28, 2016 by hockeyhound Quote

WildCard Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 Thanks Wild for outing me.Not my intention. Third tank is a charm? I'm with you, patience; however, I would really like to see something happen Monday that will give us some hope. I think Briere48 is right. The big moves will come at the draft and FA Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 But is he worth leaving for a 3rd? Or worse? What we get for him is totally irrelevant to me. What matters is what it would cost to keep him here. I'm assuming he wants a raise, and if I'm paying a player over $3 million I want him to bring something other than intermittent goals. Quote
Eleven Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 By the paddle of ETHRON, the Sabres have been shut out. Quote

If we can get him cheaper, I'd rather just keep him though. You're probably right in that he does want to be paid like that though Quote
Two or less Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 But is he worth leaving for a 3rd? Or worse? It all depends how much he thinks he's worth compared to what Murray thinks he's worth. If McGinn sees himself at a certain level, theres no point of keeping him for the sake of keeping him. Might as well get something for him instead of getting nothing. If the Sabres and McGinn are not seeing eye-to-eye on dollars and term in February, it won't get better by July, barring an injury or something. July is crazy money season and guys like McGinn usually get over paid. Quote

Tondas Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 Outmatched tonight. Got to try to see the long term goal. Quote
WanderingEye Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 My main takeaway from this second shutout loss in three games is that Jake Muzzin is pretty damn good. Quote
