I watched the Ducks broadcast and they spent an enormous amount of time whining about calls and non-calls.  They went on-and-on about Evander Kane's "dirty" hit.

Foligno had some of the best chances. He needs to learn to pass once in a while though.

By Foligno you mean Mogilny, right?

A 1 - 0 game ... how did they look?

Score was closer than it should have been IMO.  Lehner had a really good game or it could have been 3 or 4 nothing.  Having said that we also came very close to tying with Bailey getting robbed on a rebound in the third.

Thanks, buddy.

How about Eichel and Samson?  Were they OK, or did they look like rookies a bit out of their element.

No worries, the game would have been even later for you.

Unfortunately neither rookie looked great.  ROR really showed his worth by not playing last night.  The Ducks were able to have the Kessler line out against Eichel all night and they just smothered him.  There was a scare that Reinhart got seriously hurt in the game but he actually just took a puck to the nuts  .  He came back and played.

Yes & yes on both. Anaheim keyed heavily on Eichel & he struggled to break through the clutching & grabbing. He had a couple of nice set ups, but was rather pedestrian.

Reinhart seemed a bit out of his element, but it's only ~ the 3rd game he played at C & 2nd w/ no O'Reilly. Got caught in his own end a couple of times but also nearly connected on a nice pass to Kane on the doorstep. They moved him to Eichel's wing a couple of times but had Kane as the other wing. Which, IMHO, defeats the point of having Eichel & Reinhart together. Would much rather have Girgensons or Bailey out in that situation (or even Gionta or Foligno or McGinn).

They are either really bad at watching hockey or are wearing some serious Homer glasses if they think that hit was dirty. He hurt himself flailing like a bitch to get out of the way.

True, but wasn't the initial reaction to the Ovie - Ennis hit that it was dirty? But upon further review it appeared clean but Ennis got messed up trying to avoid the hit.

Thanks guys.

Seems that is what we are to expect until ROR returns.

No wonder TM targeted ROR.  Glad we have him.  IMO, he will be the next captain of the team.

In some ways he already is the captain. Noticed they didn't give anybody his 'A' while he's out. (Either that, or eyesight is worse than imagined. ;))

Its called interference and should be called more.

at one moment you had the ducks play by play guy even stating, wow this takes us back to the 90's when they showed silvferberg tailing eichel.

Not disputing that. But the refs weren't calling it and Eichel was unable to battle through it, and as a result, he looked rather pedestrian.
