BetterDays06 Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 OK, who knows anything about the Binghamton players Sabres just acquired for Rochester? havent heard of any of them Quote
Huckleberry Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 Detroit has dealt Jakub Kindl to Florida for a 2017 6th round pick and will also retain 15 % of Kindl's salary. proof that anyone can get traded :D OK, who knows anything about the Binghamton players Sabres just acquired for Rochester? Guess its all players that needed a change of scenery. Doubt we would be able to resign any of those we send away. Quote
Huckleberry Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 Feb. 27: Edmonton Oilers trade F Teddy Purcell to Florida Panthers in exchange for 2016 3rd-round that one set the bar to low for McGinn to be traded. Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 OK, who knows anything about the Binghamton players Sabres just acquired for Rochester? Definitely a *hockey trade*, eh? NOT!! Quote

Hoss Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 Purcell isn't as good as McGinn. Sorry, McGinn still is worthy of a 2nd. That's debatable. Also, Teddy Purcell has a 65 point season as a 26-year-old. Oh, NHL. You're silly. Quote
dudacek Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 Definitely a *hockey trade*, eh? NOT!! When I said Murray was working on a hockey trade, this was not what I had in mind. If I read this right, this is the AHL equivalent of Nugent-Hopkins Eberle and Schultz for Wheeler Little Burmistrov and a tougher Adam Pardy Quote
Hoss Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 (edited) Staal was a late scratch so I think we can talk about that one as official now. McKenzie said it's done. Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger Staal to NYR for two 2nd round picks and prospect Saarela. Edited February 28, 2016 by Hoss Quote
WildCard Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 So the Rangers managed to keep their 1st Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 4 points out of the Wild Card Race and the Canes are sellers, all three of their fans are going to be upset Meh. Staal has been pretty bad this year. So the Rangers managed to keep their 1st In 2017, yes. Their 1st this year was already traded away for Yandle. Micah Blake McCurdy @IneffectiveMath 12m12 minutes ago Eric Staal since 07-08. Slow dropoff in scoring seems pretty clear. Quote
Hoss Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 4 points out of the Wild Card Race and the Canes are sellers, all three of their fans are going to be upset I don't think so. I have a feeling they're realistic. The team isn't good and he's a UFA. Quote
tom webster Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 I don't think so. I have a feeling they're realistic. The team isn't good and he's a UFA. Actually, I think the team is pretty good other then goaltending. That being said, it makes sense to continue to build up and trade guys like Staal. Quote
Hoss Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 Actually, I think the team is pretty good other then goaltending. That being said, it makes sense to continue to build up and trade guys like Staal. Victor Rask is their number one center. He's young and improving but he's nothing to get excited about yet. They've got very little in the way of forward talent. Faulk is very good, though. Quote

Hoss Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 New York Rangers @NYRangers OFFICIAL: #NYR have acquired Eric Staal in exchange for Aleksi Saarela and two second-round picks ('16 & '17). Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 They have a great young D and their possession numbers are better then a few playoff teams. Yea, biggest problem as you said is goaltending. And they could really use a finisher in the forward ranks. I don't think it happens for myriad reasons, but that's a place where I think Stamkos would make a ton of sense. Quote

I don't think they're in the top 15 teams it would make sense for him to sign with. Quote

I agree, makes no sense for him but you give them Stamkos, Okposo and a true number 1 goalie and they are a solid top contender in the East Edited February 28, 2016 by tom webster Quote

LTS Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 Those Staal brothers stick together. I think Eric will be a good addition for the Rags. Quote
WildCard Posted February 28, 2016 Report Posted February 28, 2016 Henrik is 34, and the oldest team in the league just got older. The window for the Rags to win is right now, and maybe two more years if they're lucky. Might as well go for it Quote
