With Toews, Kane, Keith & Seabrook locked-up long term they'll be winning Stanley Cups still in 2-3 years. Teams like the Hawks, Bruins and the Kings are solidly run organizations and will continue to remain mainstays at the top of the league for a long time.

I imagine they are pretty far apart. I don't think McGinn is worth what he's likely asking for and I don't think he'll be worth what he gets in the offseason.

GMTM could have looked at what was being offered for Johnson and realized rather than getting an another low round pick it's better to sign Johnson to an extension and have a solid goalie tandem for the next year or two.
