inkman Posted February 29, 2016 Report Posted February 29, 2016 Real question is why was Florida so eager to get rid of him for such a lousy return. The only thing I can figure is because he's a seriously one dimensional player. His 22 goal 2 assist campaign a season ago is a head scratcher. Quote
pastajoe Posted February 29, 2016 Report Posted February 29, 2016 pastajoe, did you just post that McKenzie tweeted Drouin to Buffalo, and then delete? I just looked at his feed and did not see that. Yes, but found out it was a fake so I deleted. Quote

sodbuster Posted February 29, 2016 Report Posted February 29, 2016 Pirri gets a sixth and Weber is worth a third? I guess anything really IS possible. Quote
apuszczalowski Posted February 29, 2016 Report Posted February 29, 2016 Did Bettman make another "screw the Sabres" move and tell the league to ignore GMTM? Uncle Bryan felt bad and threw him a bone with Amerks trade.no, the sabres just have crap to sell. The decent players they have they want to keep, the rest the other teams just aren't interested in. No one really makes hockey trades today, it's buying and selling of expiring asserts, and the Sabres aren't buyers and have little of value to sell Quote
Hoss Posted February 29, 2016 Report Posted February 29, 2016 So much for the 2nd round offers, huh Hoss? Considering multiple reporters reported them there was no other information available. This doesn't validate anything you said. You were wrong. Quote
Taro T Posted February 29, 2016 Report Posted February 29, 2016 Pirri gets a sixth and Weber is worth a third? I guess anything really IS possible. Surprising that Pirri is only worth a 6th, but for all intents & purposes Weber was worth a 2016 5th. Time value of picks & money. Quote

A 3rd next year is only worth a 5th this year? I get the whole time value concept but that sounds off IMO. Quote

Hoss Posted February 29, 2016 Report Posted February 29, 2016 What was I wrong about? Have you ever once considered that some people might know more than you? The only information we had available was that Florida had offers of a second for Pirri. You suggested Johnson for Pirri. I said no because they had reportedly gotten offers of a second which Johnson isn't nearly worth. You suggested a backups injury increases Johnson's value to them which is accurate but not enough to make him worth a second-round asset. Then I mentioned how others are available for less, which is still true. Johnson still isn't worth a second. Clearly the info we had on Pirri was wrong (or Tallon hit his head this morning), but the context of that conversation was you suggesting that Johnson was worth an asset that was reportedly worth a 2nd. That's not true. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted February 29, 2016 Report Posted February 29, 2016 No idea who Pirri is. He's scored 20+ goals in a season (shortened?) and netted a 6th?! The fook? Quote
