Brawndo Posted January 17, 2017 Report Posted January 17, 2017 Bills hired former Rams OC Rob Boras as their TE coach. Quote
JujuFish Posted January 17, 2017 Report Posted January 17, 2017 I think the odds of Romo surviving a year as QB for the Bills without sustaining a major injury are close to zero. I completely agree with this and that would make me overwhelmingly nervous about having Romo as our QB. We allowed more sacks than all but the Browns, Rams, and 49ers. Quote
MattPie Posted January 17, 2017 Report Posted January 17, 2017 I wasn't crediting Peyton with the Super Bowl, but rather the several division titles and Super Bowl appearance that preceded it. He had several great years left in him. On a side note: can you imagine what it'd be like to be a Colts fan at this point? They got a few good seasons out of Luck, but the last two have been 8-8 and they have to be wondering if they'd have won it all with Manning. This is the yin to the Farve discussion's yang above. Maybe the big difference there is they didn't keep Manning to tutor Luck for a few years. Quote
Brawndo Posted January 18, 2017 Report Posted January 18, 2017 #Bills hire Kelly Skipper to be RB coach. Skipper was with Jags the last 2 seasons so he's familiar with Greg Olson... who could become OC Quote
Brawndo Posted January 18, 2017 Report Posted January 18, 2017 Greg Olson is the favorite to become the LA Rams QB Coach per Schefter Quote
Brawndo Posted January 18, 2017 Report Posted January 18, 2017 Per LaCanfora Hearing the Bills may be inclined to pursue Alex Van Pelt for their OC opening pending outcome of Packers season. Has ties to them Quote

qwksndmonster Posted January 18, 2017 Report Posted January 18, 2017 Wasn't AVP the OC for the Bills durent the Trent Edwards Era? Quote
WildCard Posted January 18, 2017 Report Posted January 18, 2017 Wasn't AVP the OC for the Bills durent the Trent Edwards Era?Close, but I believe it was the Losman era Quote
Brawndo Posted January 18, 2017 Report Posted January 18, 2017 2009 Ryan Fitzpatrick was his QB Quote
ubkev Posted January 18, 2017 Report Posted January 18, 2017 Greg Olson is the favorite to become the LA Rams QB Coach per Schefter Is it bad that people are turning down OC jobs in Buffalo to take QB coach jobs elsewhere? Quote
WildCard Posted January 18, 2017 Report Posted January 18, 2017 Is it bad that people are turning down OC jobs in Buffalo to take QB coach jobs elsewhere?Well it's Goff and Gurley vs McCoy and ?? Quote
ubkev Posted January 18, 2017 Report Posted January 18, 2017 Well it's Goff and Gurley vs McCoy and ?? So he thinks he'd have a much better chance of making himself look good in order to get a better position later? Quote
Brawndo Posted January 19, 2017 Report Posted January 19, 2017 Vic Carrucci reported that Olson took the job in LA, because his family lives in California Quote
Brawndo Posted January 19, 2017 Report Posted January 19, 2017 Bills interviewed Ken Dorsey the Panthers QB Coach for the OC Position today Quote
WildCard Posted January 19, 2017 Report Posted January 19, 2017 (edited) Whaley saying in an interview that there is no quick fix, and that this is a building process that starts from the culture and the foundation Is this a rebuild? Edited January 19, 2017 by WildCard Quote
Randall Flagg Posted January 19, 2017 Report Posted January 19, 2017 Whaley saying in an interview that there is no quick fix, and that this is a building process that starts from the culture and the foundation Is this a rebuild? I've been getting this impression Quote
darksabre Posted January 19, 2017 Report Posted January 19, 2017 Whaley saying in an interview that there is no quick fix, and that this is a building process that starts from the culture and the foundation Is this a rebuild? If we have no QB, then yes. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted January 19, 2017 Author Report Posted January 19, 2017 Did anyone ask Whaley how it went from "we're close" to being "no quick fix" - in the span of, like, a week? I know Skurski wrote about that issue in today's TBN. But - c'mon. It's a damn clown show. Quote

Lanny Posted January 19, 2017 Report Posted January 19, 2017 Wasn't AVP the OC for the Bills durent the Trent Edwards Era? Close, but I believe it was the Losman era 2009 Ryan Fitzpatrick was his QB Trent started the season as the starter was replaced by Fitz after week 10 when Jauron was fired. JP was playing for the Las Vegas Locomotives Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted January 19, 2017 Report Posted January 19, 2017 (edited) Has anyone listened to the interview? Some have the impression he was talking about the QB position, not the team writ large. Semi-related, the more I read, the more I like this QB class. I'd be happy with any of Kizer, Mahomes, or Watson. Trubisky is my least favorite at this point. Edited January 19, 2017 by TrueBlueGED Quote

Brawndo Posted January 19, 2017 Report Posted January 19, 2017 Did Whaley say the team was close during the press conference earlier in the day? GR was all over this in the morning Quote
