JJFIVEOH Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 That would've been a good time for Dan to pull a Patrick Roy and smash some sticks over the boards. Perfect time! It's crunch time for this team, the guys would have loved to see coach back them up. And yet he has no pulse. Quote
Neo Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 If I was Lehner I'd have gone Patrick Roy on that ref and taken the 20 games. I was half expecting it! https://twitter.com/apetey76/status/696164989271416832 Classic ... Quote
SarasotaSabre Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 I would have liked to see Dapper Disco Dan go off after that debacle and show some freaking emotion. At least make a statement instead of retreating meekly to the visitors dressing room. Show some leadership Danny Boy. Quote
clintwestwood Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 Same thing on Thursday. Head locks, marchand's lil bitch wrist chops. No calls. Only course of action is to build a team that can out play the bad calls. Or for the league to start making the right calls? But no, that's too smart for this league to do. Quote
hockeyhound Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 d4rksabre, ##### ##### ##### #####, I still don't feel any better. Maybe a six pack will help. Quote

Ogre Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 If I was Lehner I'd have gone Patrick Roy on that ref and taken the 20 games. Speaking as someone who has been there and done that professionally...I can honestly say that is NOT a good idea. Quote
dudacek Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 I have no problem with the non-PS on McGinn because he wasn't clearly in front of Seidenberg. Ratboy wasn't clearly in front of Risto either. Risto didn't tackle him, he didn't even grab him. Pushing is not against the rules. It couldn't have been interference because Ratboy had the puck. It couldn't have been tripping or hooking because Risto had no stick. What the ? Oh and someone tell me why Ratboy shouldn't get a penalty for slashing the stick out of Risto's hands? ! Quote
SarasotaSabre Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 I hate to sound ignorant, but is there any vehicle for the Sabres to lodge a formal complaint or protest? It won't change the outcome but might force the officials to show some accountability. Quote
Tondas Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 I was amost....ALMOST ready to get past the Brad Park incident, but now, forget about it! Quote
jsb Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 Horrible call but 2 back to back horrible passes by Risto also. I have to admit the Bylsma hate is getting old too Quote
JJFIVEOH Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 I love having a goaltender with an attitude. I hope the coaches don't try to neuter him. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 Horrible call but 2 back to back horrible passes by Risto also. I have to admit the Bylsma hate is getting old too Go ahead and make the case that Gorges, Gionta, and Larsson getting 3-on-3 time gives us a better chance to win than Reinhart. Quote
darksabre Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 I'm gonna go watch Goon and drink more beers. . Quote
Ogre Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 Dunleavy is so disgusted that he is "not making a graceful exit." ....Good for you, Dan. You show em. Quote
dudacek Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 Horrible call but 2 back to back horrible passes by Risto also. This unfortunately is true. Bruins fans saying Marchand clearly was held. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 This unfortunately is true. Bruins fans saying Marchand clearly was held. Risto had a split second tug on the jersey I thought. But 1) that never gets called in today's NHL and 2) it sure as didn't warrant a penalty shot. Quote
SwampD Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 This unfortunately is true. Bruins fans saying Marchand clearly was held. Bruins fans are morons. Quote
woods-racer Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 (edited) ######. No call on Gorges. ######. No penalty shot for McGinn. ######. Marchant GET'S that call. Nice goal though. The only saving grace is if the coach throws an emotional charged hissy fit. Made ESPN's sport center where they showed the total lack of consistency on penalties that has plagued the league. RuffMuff Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 I hope this tough loss plants a seed of hate for the Bruins going forward. Its the start of payback. Plus it pushed us closer to winning the lotto, which we will win from a top 5 pick. Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 Well, that sucked and was clearly a game gifted to the city of Boston. Man, I want to see our team start playing with an edge bordering on dirty, especially against these guys. Dan, you suck at OT and player selection Quote
SwampD Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 Also, isn't it a penalty to slash a guy's stick out of his hands? Pluck Bruins fans. Quote
tom webster Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 Jack Edwards, the ultimate homer, admitted it was a bad call that went boston's way. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 Risto in general hasn't been good in 3v3 this year, and I'm not letting him off the hook for giving Marchand that chance in the first place. Samson is so smart. And it's awesome to see the number of times he gets knocked down shrink, and see him win battles and create chances after getting back up when he does. Jack had a strong game on both ends I thought, could have had a few points easily. Tuukka is a good goalie, and man oh man if Lehner keeps this up, and with his intensity, he will become my favorite Sabre. He gets away with little jabs that get into the other teams' heads, and his eyes. Did anyone see his eyes when he threw his mask. I want players who hate losing that much on my team, and when they have the skill to be a good starter at their position, well, that's entertainment. Marchand still got a shot off didn't he, even if Risto "held" him? (He didn't, his hand was on his back but never pulled or anything.) What's he supposed to do if he can't lean, just let Brad skate free? Larsson/Kane/Gionta have spent quite a few games together playing very well now. I hope we don't break that up, and I hope we add enough in the offseason to make that line our distant-third-best-line. Moulson, you got a chance with Jack, and your stick wasn't on the ice. McCabe is a little over his head at this point, but he is not Franson-bad. Sit Cody, and run our RHDs down the right and our LHDs down the left. Honestly, this was a great road game from our boys up until that mess of an ending. We'll be winning these games next year. I wish we were winning them now. Quote
