I thought last night's game was interesting relative to what you're saying here.  Especially the third.  It looked like they had either started to play "the system" correctly (assuming what I saw was the system), or the zone exit and entry strategies have been tweaked.  I especially noticed things like the younger guys, on entries, not attempting to dump it deep, but rather bank it off the boards to themselves while trying to go around the defender.

Eichel will definitely be better than Hall. Harder league, harder position, worse line-mates, and still producing NHL leading possession and scoring like Hall did his rookie year. 

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeap. Agreed. Let's just make it even better and get Hall to put on Eichel's wing.

His "lack" of point production is no surprise considering he joined team who had one of the worst offensive seasons in NHL history (avg < 2 goals/gm).

 

edit: OK, not "one of the worst" literally THE worst.   The 2013-2014 Sabres are the lowest scoring team in NHL history at 151 goals (1.91 goals/gm).   The 2014-15 Sabres are second lowest at 162 goals (1.96 goals/gm).
