WildCard Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 (edited) At the beginning of the year, this seemed like the easiest question we could have. There was Risto > Gorges/Bogo > Pysyk/McCabe > Weber/Franson, right? Maybe those last 4 could be switched up, but there was a pretty clear cut top 4. Now? Weber is playing the best hockey of his career. McCabe has more ups and downs than a typical Bills' season, and Pysyk is just an enigma. Not to mention Gorges and Bogosian. So the question is simple, who do you believe is Buffalo's worst blue-line presence? Edited January 26, 2016 by WildCard Quote
wjag Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 (edited) I voted Bogo,, For the price, he should be better. He is sporting a team worst -17 Edited January 26, 2016 by wjag Quote
WildCard Posted January 26, 2016 Author Report Posted January 26, 2016 I went with Franson, that dude is just consistently terrible. How do I make the votes public? Quote
BetterDays06 Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 (edited) Everyone is always down on weber. We know he isnt a goal scorer or even an assist machine, but he is a great penalty killer and is first on the team in +/- Edited January 26, 2016 by EICH15 Quote
WildCard Posted January 26, 2016 Author Report Posted January 26, 2016 Everyone is always down on weber. We know he isnt a goal scorer or even an assist machine, but he is a great penalty killer and is first on the team in +/- He's absolutely turned his play around over the last month or so. Honestly I have no idea what the hell happened to him. Maybe he reads this board  Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 He's absolutely turned his play around over the last month or so. Honestly I have no idea what the hell happened to him. Maybe he reads this board  Weber's done this before. Hell, a few years ago some around here were arguing for him to be captain. We all know what happened. I, for one, am not going to let a month of solid play make me forget about his career to this point. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 Carlo is probably the worst listed, but Franson has been the worst with regular ice time this season. Hell, Weber is propping him up. Quote
Doctor of Philhousley Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 I vote Cody...Opposing forwards have a free pass to the net if Cody Frankfurter has to pivot and engage in a footrace. Quote

No way am I advocating an extension for Weber, or any roll other than bottom 6/rotating 7th Quote
SwampD Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 I think our worst defender is still our forwards. When F3 keeps scoring on us, unlike what Promo said, it's not our defense. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 So you still see him as our worst defender? No way am I advocating an extension for Weber, or any roll other than bottom 6/rotating 7th Currently, no. That award goes to Carlo. I'm just saying I have no faith in Weber to continue to play as he has for the past month. Maybe I should say I still think Weber is the worst, but he not playing the worst. If that makes sense. And really, that Weber currently isn't our worst defenseman says a whole lot about our defense corps  Quote
Weave Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 Carlo gets my vote. But its not by alot. Franson sure has his worst-defenseman moments. As does Weber. Overall, I think Carlo gets the award though. Quote
WildCard Posted January 26, 2016 Author Report Posted January 26, 2016 (edited) Alright, how about this. How about I delete Carlo? Originally I didn't want him in the poll to begin with Edited January 26, 2016 by WildCard Quote

North Buffalo Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 (edited) Franson, Carlo if he had ice time, also he has enough foot speed to play F3, Franson doesn't Edited January 26, 2016 by North Buffalo Quote
pi2000 Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 best to worst risto pysyk bogo mccabe weber gorges franson carlo ..there's a reason Montreal and Nashville let Gorges and Franson go. They're slugs. Buffalo has literally the slowest defensive group in the entire league. McCabe is probably the best skater. Risto needs to get faster. Bogo has speed but he's just not quite there yet after missing half the season. I can run faster than Gorges, Franson and Weber can skate. Replace those 3 with better skaters and this is a playoff team. Quote
Bruce Smith Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 Gorges very clearly the worst if you consider salary, term, and the 2nd rounder it took to get him. Couldn't trade him for a 7th rounder a year later. Quote
wjag Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 Mario Williams. Should have been a choice. Quote
Weave Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 Is this a reality show? The loser gets traded at the deadline and resigned on July 1. Quote
inkman Posted January 27, 2016 Report Posted January 27, 2016 Gorges very clearly the worst if you consider salary, term, and the 2nd rounder it took to get him. Couldn't trade him for a 7th rounder a year later. Nothing but their current play should matter. Why do you care what they make? Quote
qwksndmonster Posted January 28, 2016 Report Posted January 28, 2016 Franson. Not anywhere near good enough offensively to make up for his wooden legs and awful defending. Quote
