This is why we all spend extra time in the waiting room.

Perreault with a beautiful blue-line slapper at about 5:20 of the first video.

No they time us, its because your veins suck and labs take forever so that we can make sure you don't die on the table.

Yes saw that slapper, no way that goes in today with all that goalie equipment is my thought.

So much great vintage stuff in the first video.  Barrasso going at it with Claude Lemieux at about 22:45.  Miller-Maguire, just as I remembered it.  And Bruins being ###### everywhere.

Thanks so much for posting these.

EDIT:  And of course, Ted Darling on some of the earlier fights.

Hawerchuk and Denis Savard at 13:20 of the second vid!

More and more...

LA announcers not knowing any of the players at 18:00 of the second vid.  Ok, they didn't see the Sabres very often.  But how the hell do you confuse Tom Barrasso for Larry Playfair?

I'm spending time today watching old stuff, I guess.  I came across this Hartford-Sabres highlight from what looks to be somewhere between 1993 and 1995.

--Jeanneret's calls go over the PA system after Sabre goals.

--Turcotte takes a run at Hasek and guess what?  The Sabres did NOT go after him.

--Sabres are scoring at will (I took a break to post this) and there looks to be a brawl later in the game (from the title).

EDIT:  From the patch, I can tell it is the 94-95 season.

At about 5:30, another Whaler takes a shot at Hasek and this time the Sabres do respond a bit.  Not much more than the Lucic incident, though; things got tied up pretty quickly.  Until...

I'm fairly certain no one on those teams liked Hasek very much, maybe fellow country man Smehlik.

Ha Was LaFontaine offsides at about the 1:36 mark? May have had a challenge in today's NHL.
