hockeyhound Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 It's not like we are losing 4-0 to the Panthers after 2 periods. Only a really bad team would do that. Chicago's goalie must be ready to commit harakiri. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 Is there any chance they don't buy Moulson's contract after this year? He looks completely shot. Last time I used the buyout calculator I came away thinking a buyout makes no sense at any point during his contract. The cap savings over burying him in the minors just doesn't seem worth doubling the length of time he's on the cap. Quote
Thorner Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 I think you're underrating his shot and puck skills and overestimating his hockey sense. But I don't think it really matters. The combination of these things is why he's more if a 20 goal 50 point guy than 30 goal 65 point guy. Which would still be good and a valuable winger for us. But I do think he is certainly capable of scoring 30 goals again, he's done it before. I don't think it was a fluke. Quote
Jsixspd Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 I got in and started watching with about 2 minutes left in the second. Sabres seemed really listless, like they were "out of gas", and the puck spent most of the end of the period in the Sabres zone. Quote

Randall Flagg Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 We want ten! Errrrrr, wait a minute... We had bad teams that could score 10 in a game post-Drury/Briere. 2 of them. This one goes 3 full games without an even-strength goal. Quote

But I really don't expect 30 out of him. Kane:30 as Vanek:40. Could happen again, but to expect it consistently is to set oneself up for disappointment. Quote

Randall Flagg Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 (edited) So, about that interference that we aren't doing,... The state of the NHL. What we've been saying, is that Detroit does it on another level and gets away with it more often. Which holds true in this game as well. It was probably complained about on this forum 10 years ago. Tondas Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 (edited) The Sabres have to be the worst team at getting the puck over the blue line and out of the zone. Edited January 23, 2016 by Tondas Quote

No. The reason that that guy got hit in the head with the puck was because Weber tackled him and there was no call and it was just as blatant as anything they have done. Y'all can cry if you want to, but we do it too. Quote
