Randall Flagg Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 In his postgame interview, Jack referred to O'Reilly as "Snook". As in, rhymes with book. Wonder where that comes from. Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 Nobody put this up yet? Technically it was a bit early (after the first empty netter), but Eleven put it up (old school style) a while back. https://gifsound.com/?gif=i.imgur.com/879rajq.gif&v=ynxNBN2KcJc&s=20 Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 Looked like a Celtics hat. It's actually a Sabres St. Patrick's Day hat; you can see the Sabres logo at about 3:30 of the interview online. Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 Wow. and McGinn can play too. At the beginning of the season, I don't think anyone expected him to be 4th on the team in points, 3rd in goals (tied with Reinhart and Kane) at this point in the season. Murray traded a couple misfits, a couple prospects, and came away with 2/3 of an NHL first line. Freakin' amazing. Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 Poor Evander Kane. In the euphoria of the 3rd period comeback, his contribution was giving the Sabres the lead they almost immediately lost... Quote
MODO Hockey Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 What a beauty to wake up to. GO SABRES!!!!! Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 Fun third period, for sure. Have you watched the highlights? Quote
MODO Hockey Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 Fun third period, for sure. Have you watched the highlights? Yes sir i have! Chad had another great game. Eichle was awesome, that actuall snipe on the scate was amazing, ROR is a beauty to watch as always, this guy never gives up!! ROR's spirit is contagious on the team. Ennis had a great game to! SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!! Quote
thewookie1 Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 I get the sense based on ROR's play and how Gionta sounded in the Beyond Blue and Gold thing that he might bestow the C to O'Reilly over the offseason and merely enjoy his last season as merely a vet/leader in locker room and let the younger generation run with it. Quote
Rasmus_ Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 What a game! After the early stumbling block of the Bruins onslaught, the Sabres resoundingly storm back! The ovation for Eichel before the game started was not surprising but unnerving. the Bruins! Eichel showed more poise than he has in at least 5-6 games last night. It was a sight to behold. Hopefully this is the start of his surge. Quote
Huckleberry Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 came home drunk, was like damn it 3 - 1, I won't turn it on just go to bed. Then saw the 3 - 2 light up and before I actually got the game on it was 3 - 3 already :D Quote
Rasmus_ Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 Looked like a Celtics hat. It was the Buffalo Sabres - St. Patricks Day hat. If you watch it tilt around it was a green Sabres hat. Quote
Rico7 Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 What a 3rd period! Was at a party and everyone was getting into the game. So happy that we all can enjoy and root for this team again after years of cr*p. We have a way to go, but man, that was fun. Quote
wjag Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 Nobody put this up yet? We need to lose this... One man's opinion. Quote
Kristian Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 Caught the game delayed on NHL Center Ice half an hour ago, was ready to turn it off after 7 mins into the 3rd, but DAMN - What a 3rd period! Only sad Rick didn't make the trip to call the game. Quote
deluca67 Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 What a pleasant surprise Jamie McGinn has been this season for me. If he can remain consistent he could be a Jason Chimera type winger for the Sabres. Quote

deluca67 Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 As the throw in to the ROR trade, he has really surpassed expectations. A definite plus on the resume of Tim Murray. Quote
Rasmus_ Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 As the throw in to the ROR trade, he has really surpassed expectations. As long as he's healthy he's been productive. He's had 19 goal seasons before. Quote
woods-racer Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 Looked like a Celtics hat. My initial thoughts also. It's actually a Sabres St. Patrick's Day hat; you can see the Sabres logo at about 3:30 of the interview online. Mr. Harvey with...... the rest of the story. It was the Buffalo Sabres - St. Patricks Day hat. If you watch it tilt around it was a green Sabres hat. And so it must be true if 2 SS'ers witnessed it. Now confirmed fact. Thank you. Quote
Eleven Posted December 27, 2015 Author Report Posted December 27, 2015 We need to lose this... One man's opinion. I hope you have to watch it 63 more times this season. Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 Could this be the statement game that is the turning point for the Sabres this season? Maybe. We shall see. What I do know is this ... This was the statement game where ROR took over this team and made it his own. It's as if he told Gionta ... *thanks Brian, you are a good soldier and you can wear the C, you have earned it, but this is my team now*. The others followed him. What a team to make this statement against ... I feel this band of Sabres have finally avenged the Brad friggin' Park goal way back when. I have no doubt that ROR is leading this team. He stated that he welcomed the challenge to be more and bring more. Well, he certainly has and then some. ROR will be wearing the C next for the Sabres, no doubt in my mind. Quote
