TrueBlueGED Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 So, does this mean the Sabres DIDN'T learn how to lose games late against Chicago? It's so darn confusing. ;) TB, you were SO right about ROR. Any others desperately on your radar? 1-2 more pick ups like that and we may be talking dynasty when the kids grow up. I was actually kinda wrong--he's better than I thought he was  Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 9 points from 1st in the division with 2 games in hand on the free falling Habs?! Quote
CallawaySabres Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 I'm sure if we lose to the Caps, I'll mention how close we are to the number 1 pick Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 So, Eich had 4 points tonight and is an even +/- ... how is that possible, when all the goals were even strength? For the night, Eich was +2. Weber was too, by the way. Quote
Taro T Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 I was actually kinda wrong--he's better than I thought he was   No idea why Cowawado was willing to let him go for a parade of prospects. How the Sabres got McGinn thrown in on top is mystifying. Quote
Tondas Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 I know the Avs have young talent that they need to pay, but it's hard to fathom that ROR was the odd man out. Quote
Stoner Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 Y'all can thank me for this win tonight. O'Reilly just called and said I owe him some pannys. I make ugly pannies and almost burn the house down. You make gorgeous pannies and lead the Sabres to wins in Boston. you millennials! Quote
Randall Flagg Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 I ended up getting out of work earlier than I thought I would, so I got to see the third period. In the car on the way home, as the second period ended, Rob Ray started a little monologue about how the Sabres were more flat that period. He talked and talked and talked, and as the intermission music started to play, Dan tried to cut in with the score but he didn't make it, so I didn't get to hear the score of the game before they went on the commercial break, it sounded pretty unprofessional and was very annoying. Jack had a big game when he was on national TV the first time, I knew he'd have an even bigger game tonight. Wish he could have gotten the hat trick.ROR is just amazing. Wow. and McGinn can play too. The ice looked terrible from what I saw, the puck never stopped jumping and nobody could stay on their feet. I'm going to remember this game for a long time, that was fantastic, and coupled with the USA win earlier, this was a great day to be a hockey fan in WNY.Gooooooooooooooo Sabres!!! Quote

beerme1 Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 Looks like a another good decision not to watch this one. Not sure why I am losing interest in the team THIS year. I think it's just all the losses over the last few years and not really ready to watch them until playoffs are in the discussion. Maybe I should be watching....whoooaaa LOL this was kind of worth watching. Cheers all! Quote
Thorner Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 Eichel now up to 4th in rookie scoring, and 2nd in rookie goal scoring. Just heating up. Quote
freester Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 It's amazing how well we play when Moulson doesn't dress. I can see him being a healthy scratch for a while unless someone gets injured Quote

SwampD Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 He played tonight. Foligno sat. Unless Foligno is hurt, I think Zemgus is next to sit. He might have a high motor, but, boy he never possesses the puck. Quote
freester Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 I stand corrected I was unable to watch the game Quote
pastajoe Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 Hopefully Eichel can be to the Bruins what Gronk is to the Bills. Local guy burning his hometown team. Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 That's a fair exchange. Unless Foligno is hurt, I think Zemgus is next to sit. He might have a high motor, but, boy he never possesses the puck. #ToughToPlayAgainst Quote
nfreeman Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 I stand corrected I was unable to watch the game Memorable series of posts here you hoser. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 O'Reilly and Drury, the two Sabres Captain Centers (soon, Ryan, soon) plucked from the Avalanche after switching from number 37. It's almost eerie. To me, it doesn't even matter what Zadorov becomes at this point. That's how good Ryan O'Reilly is. The play on the McGinn goal was unreal and moved him 1 point out of top 10 in league scoring. And he's elite in every other area of the game. We are very lucky to be able to watch a player with this work ethic and a high level of skill. Quote

3putt Posted December 27, 2015 Report Posted December 27, 2015 The ROR deal makes up for Lehner (I know, still early.) I liked what I saw from Colin White. The Lehner trade has a lot of variables Quote
