Randall Flagg Posted January 5, 2016 Report Posted January 5, 2016 He just did what Kane tries to do. And I may have had a vision of Jack setting him up.Right? I think Puljujarvi is a better all-around player, but passing up having that shot on Jack's wing, should we be in a position to choose, would be very tough. What a game. Quote

Truly a worthy gold medal game. Puljujarvi and Laine are both only 17? I honestly thought they were 18. Thats insane. What awesome prospects. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted January 5, 2016 Report Posted January 5, 2016 That Finnish team is one of the most fun teams I've seen in this tournament, and the Russian one is one of the most, well, something. They look like well-coached veteran robots. Great PK and system. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted January 5, 2016 Report Posted January 5, 2016 Yep, OT starts in a few minutes. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted January 5, 2016 Report Posted January 5, 2016 Is this game in OT? Yea. Russia tied it with 7 seconds left. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted January 5, 2016 Report Posted January 5, 2016 Kapanen channeled Risto there. Awesome. Quote

That Aud Smell Posted January 5, 2016 Report Posted January 5, 2016 Here's the GWG. https://pbs.twimg.com/tweet_video/CX_GGTOWMAAoiZy.mp4 Sweet effort - I especially like the herky-jerky move he pulls to beat his man. Fwiw, though, it's not likely an NHL goal, yeah? Setting aside the matter of clutching and grabbing, the Russian goalie can't even pretend like he's going to get to the other post in time. Quote

Seemed like his own man took him out, otherwise he was headed that way. Amazing that Finland is like Colorado or Minnesota #s wise (5M), beating much larger countries. Russia (143M) / USA (318M) / Canada (35M). Quote

I saw that as well, but I'm not so sure his D-man really inhibited him. As for the Finns, I always bear in mind that, after the Miracle on Ice, the U.S. still needed to beat the Finns to win gold. The other angle you can see his left leg is tangled up with D, but yeah, upon viewing again, he wasn't going to get there..... Do love this tournament. Quote
