Sabres defense/back check is not intimidated by the Blackhawks offense. They're playing their game and covering well.

I would've like to have seen Gionta take a hard low shot knowing he has someone coming down the right wing; at least there would've been a chance for a big rebound.

 

How many times do we watch the high hard shot that either sails out of play or it ends up flying half way down the ice onto an opponents stick.

If he's allowed to play his game against third/fourth lines, players he should be tasked to defend, he plays a simple tough game well.
