Doohicksie Posted December 16, 2015 Report Posted December 16, 2015 I can see where the question comes from. Regardless where they would be right now, the key point is that they would top out at a level that would be far below their potential. For all the pain and frustration of this season so far, at some point you have to implement a system that has more to it than "skate harder." Quote
Thwomp! Posted December 16, 2015 Report Posted December 16, 2015 716-867-5309 Awesome! I see what you did there. We were obviously constantly playing for the loser point as well :w00t: Quote

TrueBlueGED Posted December 16, 2015 Report Posted December 16, 2015 We'd be worse. And we'd be better with Babcock. There, I said it. Quote

woods-racer Posted December 16, 2015 Report Posted December 16, 2015 Great question pA! Last year a *horrible coach* with no system, just firey pep talks. This year a scholarly coach trying to implant a *classic hockey system* with more skilled yet freshman players. Their records are about the same at this portion of each coaches season. Quote

TrueBlueGED Posted December 16, 2015 Report Posted December 16, 2015 Really out on a limb there... I had thought about filling in Cellino and Barnes' phone number for the record. Would that have been better? Quote

Your "skate harder" comment in another thread led me to ask the question. That's not fair to Ted. Quote

woods-racer Posted December 16, 2015 Report Posted December 16, 2015 (edited) Our record could/would/should be better with Babcock. But ever game would be like last night. I'd have to wake up in the morning and check to see who won cause I switched over from the game to the golf channel to watch a more entertaining sport being played. Weave Posted December 16, 2015 Report Posted December 16, 2015 I think our powerplay would be significantly worse (the zone entries with the man advantage were horrible). As would play in our zone. Our possession numbers would be abysmal because of it IMO. With Nolan as coach I don't think we'd have 6 more wins than last season. Quote
LTS Posted December 16, 2015 Report Posted December 16, 2015 7-18-7 GF: 52 GA: 96 They'd look better because of the talent but they'd not look as good as they do now because they'd not necessarily be on the same page. Quote
tom webster Posted December 16, 2015 Report Posted December 16, 2015 I understand the questions and concerns but it's not about 34 games. DB is laying down the foundation. With TN, it was going nowhere. There is a reason that player after player make no bones about the night and day difference and there is a reason TN has no chance of ever getting a head coaching job again. Quote

nucci Posted December 16, 2015 Report Posted December 16, 2015 really miss his brilliant analysis........"We have to work harder" plus Kaleta and Ellis would be getting plenty of ice time...Ellis on the PP........ Quote

I completely forgot about that. No, I don't miss that. But having Gionta out there is the new Ellis. Quote
