Stoner Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 And a good argument can be made he's already served too long. I won't make it too political, but it's fair to say he should have had a lot more company, especially after 2008. Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 Too bad our penal system is so backwards the odds of that happeing are the same of me scoring with chz Quote

Any chance Timmy can get those 6 months added to his sentence? ;) No problem w/ letting John out a little early. Quote
K-9 Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 Normally, it would be the humane thing to do and I'd have no problem at all. Is there a trail of victims that had their lives altered because of his crimes? If so, they might have a say. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 Sure. Why not. Every time I think of that old coot, I think of his line at the party in the square for the 1999 team. Something about how he was going to get the tools to finish the job. It got a big cheer, but sounded like rubbish even at the time. Quote

TrueBlueGED Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 Honestly, just let him out for his last few months of life. He's served his time as best his body will let him. Quote
Taro T Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 You still mad about Peca? Not really. (Though I'd expect you could still push the buttons to make it seem that way. ;)) Can't say I've given the criminals much thought the past few years. Don't give Golisano much thought either. You still get your dander up over your hometown boys going to jail? Quote
Weave Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 Call me cold hearted, but I don't harbor any concern that he may die in a jail cell. Quote
darksabre Posted December 16, 2015 Report Posted December 16, 2015 Call me cold hearted, but I don't harbor any concern that he may die in a jail cell. Agreed. He's a criminal. In a country where white collar crime is already treated with kid gloves, I'm hardly interested in giving concessions to an offender who actually got what he deserved. Quote

You don't think he was made an example of? Where are the criminals of the financial meltdown in 2008? Not really. Stoner Posted December 16, 2015 Report Posted December 16, 2015 Are you saying we should let Rigas out because the rest of the crooks got away too? Maybe. Why are you lumping the Rigases in with the criminals who almost brought down the country? Adelphia was child's play. Quote

IKnowPhysics Posted December 16, 2015 Report Posted December 16, 2015 If you love someone, set them free. If they come back, they're yours; if they don't, they never were. Quote
Neo Posted December 16, 2015 Report Posted December 16, 2015 I'd let any 90 year old who's dying and no danger, and who's served significant time, out. Humanity first, for me. Justice isn't served by him dying in jail anymore than it has or hasn't been already. He has a family. He loved and was loved. He did bad things. Quote
