The one on Amherst St. very infrequently has Altman's, and that's about it.

Altman's is fine. Website says it's in your dairy aisle. I have no idea what other options around you other than leaving the city.

Altman's is very good but they're out of it so often!

I'll bet I'm not driving out to Amherst for it.  I'll find it on amazon prime though.

Hey, if I can make the trek into Greater Bloodpressureville to cash in a $25 gift certificate, you can slide a few miles down the 290 for good pickled food and an awesome liquor store!    :P

I don't think you know how much I hate driving.

I have my entire life planned out around what is essentially a 15 block radius.

AMAZON WILL BE FINE!

:D

This just reminded me that I had a dream last night that I was handlining in waist deep water in a dreamland version of Georgian Bay. I caught a 20 pound Pike. Man, I love that place.

Just got off the plane after a not so wonderful trip home. D4rk just made these and is getting me a second helping at this moment.

I got me a man who can cook. He's not escaping my clutches now...

Thanks for the recipe and happy holidays all- these are the wonderful silly things that make this forum great :)

Never been there.

My Dad decided that he wants to rent a place on Sandy Pond for a month this Summer.  I've been having visions of northern pike as well.

Swamp where in GeoBay do you go?

My folks owned a place in town of Carling about 30 mile North of Parry Sound until 10 years ago. Sad to see it sold, if you ever need a good place to stay check out rockland in SandBay, boat rental included with cabin 2 beds an up.

Pike fishing in Shawingan area as well as Muskee in the fall is awesome, Pike out near Oak island point is good too!

d4rk you magnificent bastage.

I see you have heating elements at the top of your oven. MODO said this was important. I don't have them.

Just use matches and newspaper.

I'm guessing the top is for broiling and that both can't be used at once in that oven. Although, you could get a nice browning effect by switching to broil after it's baked a bit. Hmm.

If it's like any electric oven I ever have seen in my life--and I am the grandson of a baker--yes.

I can't help but notice you didn't even try making a panny. What's wrong? Scared of some eggs and milk?

I've lost fourteen pounds and shifted about ten more in the last four months and I'm not breaking now!

That's great. Shifted? The fat from your head dropped down a few floors?
