Greatest post in the history of this forum!! Bar none! Has done more to foster warm international relations than the UN. And in universally peppery language we can all relate to.

Well done, MODO!

And happy, healthy holidays to you and all of Sweden!

It is I who thank you, MODO. Especially for the baking lesson. Can't wait to give it a try. And I never realized that damned milk, motherphucker, and sucks a$$, were highly technical culinary terms until today.

I am off to try and find some lingonberry jam! Thanks again, MODO.

Hahahah, rude to swear i know, but it gives the cooking some fire!

Yea lingon is most famous, works fine with raspberry jam to, dont forget to add some butter just before eating, that melted butter together with nice jam and icecold milk is so good.  :D

Thanks for the pancake recipe!  How hot is the oven and for how long do you bake it?

Copy paste :D , about 15-20 mins. Depends if you want it a lil more "burned", keep an eye on the

panny after 10 mins, when u got the color u want (like mine), its done :)

200ºC= 392.0000ºF

SabreSpace Cribs Meets Swedish Gordon Ramsay Meets Alien.

What makes the batter do that funky business?

Thanks MODO. And so sorry to hear about your dad. The first Christmas is the toughest without a parent. Hopefully a lot of great memories will get you through it.

Literally laughing out loud at this.

Swedish Gordan Ramsay! The internet is ruined for me now.

I'd assume it's the milk and eggs making the batter do that funky stuff, but I'll defer to Swedish Gordon Ramsay for clarification.

Swearing? What swearing? I just heard a stream of culinary lingo in order to edify the cooking audience.

Basicly the milk together with eggs and the wheatmeal, wheatmeal mostly.

Thanks, no worries bud, nature has its ways. Indeed, lots of memories. :)

Ah, OK, the wheatmeal. Is that basically flour? What else is in it? Normally you'd need some baking powder to get a rise like that.

Nothing more, 6 eggs, 1 liter of 3 %fat milk, a lil salt, a lil sugar, 3-4 dl of whatmeal(wheat flour?).

When you whip eggs and milk, it'll fluff up at high temp. Kinda like when you nuke a scrambled egg. I imagine this oven pancake is very airy.

@pa: 6 eggs will give a rise, no?

What the fook you asking me for? :) I did make a souffle once, and it puffed way up, so I think you're both right.

They sell it at IKEA, but that might be a hike for the Buffalo folks. To me, it tastes a bit like cranberry so you could probably get away with the chunky cranberry can.

As the person who asked about the pancakes, I love that you made it. Thanks!
