Doohicksie Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 McGinn plays a simple game in the offensive zone. I like it. Quote
JJFIVEOH Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 Dump and chase and dump and chase and chase and chase and dump and chase That's right in their wheelhouse when they're not taking away time and space. Quote
WildCard Posted December 15, 2015 Author Report Posted December 15, 2015 Make something of this, come on! Quote
Iron Crotch Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 Exactly what happened to Zemgus last time he was driving the net. This time it was called. Quote
Mustache of God Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 Mmmm...I'll take some tartar sauce with those chips. Get a power play goal here, C'MON! Quote
Huckleberry Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 Dump and chase and dump and chase and chase and chase and dump and chase That is the modern day NHL, not enough players who try to carry the puck in the offensive zone. Instead of making wider nets they should hit the coaches on the head for using that tactic. Quote
hockeyhound Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 (edited) Who has the PP? Please somebody start skating. Edited December 15, 2015 by hockeyhound Quote
Randall Flagg Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 Risto has been bad tonight. This game is too close to not have our best offensive weapons on the power play unit. Quote
Ottosmagic13 Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 THAT is how you stay onside! OUCH! Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 They're playing a decent road game. Now just win the third period. Quote
Iron Crotch Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 Bogosian was offside on that Eichel rush (I watched it again in slow-mo)... oof. Quote

Brawndo Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 Are there any stats on how often they regain possession of the puck after the dump in? B.S.? Teeming with it! Quote
WildCard Posted December 15, 2015 Author Report Posted December 15, 2015 Are there any stats on how often they regain possession of the puck after the dump in?Ohhh boy are there. True have me a whole article on it. To summarize it briefly, you get the puck back, score more, are scored on less, and have better chances carrying the puck in, by about a 3:1 ratio IIRC. If you want I can dig it up again, it was a great, short read Quote
Ottosmagic13 Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 Many posters have Piled it Higher and Deeper. My BullShoot and More Shoot haven't risen to those levels yet. Quote

hockeyhound Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 They haven't. Even shots on goal. They got through the long change without totally blowing the game. Looks like they're in survival mode to me; no sooner do they gain possesion in their zone and then dump it out into the neutral zone just to have Detroit grab up the puck. I'm not sure not "blowing it" would be indicative of playing well. Quote
Iron Crotch Posted December 15, 2015 Report Posted December 15, 2015 This is some boring hockey. Quote
