rakish Posted June 7, 2016 Author Report Posted June 7, 2016 It floats around a bit. I've tried schemes to get the software to do it automatically (like by comparing each season to the regression line), but I haven't found anything that works really well. That screws up the 15 and 16 year old numbers, because I got 150 leagues or so. Right now it's: "OHL":580, "WHL":600, "QMJHL":500, Quote

rakish Posted June 11, 2016 Author Report Posted June 11, 2016 (edited) I skipped over 3, because they are small, and the modeldoesn't penalize enough for small right now. So we'll goback. I think Debrincat's number is too high as comparedto the OHL, so I'm mostly looking at his size comparables. Elite prospects tells me Debrincat is ranked about 24.So while he will almost certainly be there at 8 or 9,he also might be there in the second round, and might bethere in the third. rakish Posted June 14, 2016 Author Report Posted June 14, 2016 I think there's a place for the Mike Weber type of player, but I'm fairly certain, without looking at the comparables, that size of player busts 80% of the time, just because it's hard to be 6'7" and skate very well. I have to go through the list and add as many as I can find, I'm sure he'll be among them. What do you think of Sean Day? Quote
